They came up with the big plays when it counted. Also kudos to the Dayton coaching staff for going for the end zone on that 3rd and forever play where #12 had the immaculate reception. Would have been easy to run the ball again and count on Carranco's leg. Good call coach! There was a flag for defensive interference anyway so it would have been a win/win regardless. [/quote] Yeah Hawkeye I like the long-ball pass also and hope we use it on a consistant bases. We have a tall QB than can see over the line coupled with our speedy recievers creates just another weapon for this already potent offense. #12( Chambers) the reciever who caught the pass was injured on the play anybody have a report on him ? I hated watching him after the game staggering back to the bus while nobody bothered to help him until another injured Bronco( McBride) limped over to help befor he fell down. ( we can do better than that for our players )

Hate to hear the news about Collins I was looking foreward to see him play against the Bronco's. Our #1 RB will be out until district also I think this game will be a good test for both teams !

Game was ugly because Elkins was a good 5a team with alot of big athletes.  Backup Rb was injured (ankle) QB Chambers injured (ankle) but threw a great long pass for a TD to his brother ? which injures his ankle . All & all the Bronco's will be tough to beat this year !

Trying to figure out if you have an unproven qb, an rb who's best year is behind him and no real playmakers on the edges, how Dayton is excellent and Crosby is average? Didn't see the scrimmage, but if they did what they did against St. Thomas it was basically a four play offense and try to keep the twins healthy. I dont think elkins will be bigger or more athletic than dayton this year. Our oline averages around 280 and thats good sized for any school. Daytons team speed is excellent and can compare with almost anyone. Elkins will be big and fast and might win the game but the size and speed difference will be minimal at best. This game will show what the Bronco's are made of, this won't be a glorified scrimmage.  Elkins will be bigger and faster than Dayton with more athletes over all. Yeah we won last year cause they under estimated us for being a small 4a school and we were a much better conditioned team than they were. They will be out for pay-back this year and will be a good test to see if we are as good as we think we are .

Good Scrimmage the  Bronco's made some big plays with alot of young talent took up slack with our starting RB on the sidelines.  Defense looks solid against the run ,but needs work defending the long pass. Big Neds defensive line very big,athletic and quick I think Ned.will hit their stride and kick some butt.
