WHAT???? NO FREAKIN WAY!

ALL the local media was notified, but I didn't see anyone there. They were probably rushing to get back to their stations/desks to get the stories ready!
I'm not sure just yet HOW we will top last week, but we're working on it, and WE WILL!!! ;D
-
I think the handshake incident was just the icing on the "Poor Sportsmanship" cake.
'Xactly!! You just nailed it!
-
let's just say this, atleast we get to play somewhere that looks good. we coulda played at some crappy school. but nonetheless, its a huge drop off from rice. lol
AT LEAST WE GET TO PLAY!!
DANNNG THIS FEELS GOOD!!

Missing a Hockey Game for Football, that is a no-brainer in Southeast Texas. Ice is for Ice Tea in Texas not Hockey. Once again I wonder how much money the Wildcatters are going to lose for Jefferson County This year???
:o
FORD PARK, NOT THE WILDCATTERS will probably cost you a whole lot more if people don't step up and support the events going on there! It's already there, we might as well use it. Either way, the citizens of Jefferson County are gonna pay for it! As for me, I don't live in Jefferson County, so just consider my enjoying ice hockey as a favor to you if you live in the county! You're welcome!
***And now...back to your regularly scheduled LUMBERTON RAIDER THREAD!!
-
Game will not be at Rice as of last word. Still waiting to hear.
That's what I heard...was just about to ask!

Not ONE of the individuals seen in this picture lined up to shake hands! The player on the ground (#9 I think) had to be pulled up and escorted off the field. #33 threw his helmet and let it roll about 20 yards, while he went to his knees and pounded the ground. #45 sent an unprevoked message to a Raider player, whom he had absolutely NO reason to contact.
If you look closely, you will see some of the staff walking AWAY from the 50.
I said it in a different thread, and I'll say it again here: It's really hard to respect someone who doesn't even respect themselves.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words... :
-
I hope none of Lumbertons players have to feel that kind of hurt and disappointment anytime soon.
We hope not either! But I'll tell you one thing: IF/WHEN our ride is over, our boys eh...young men will sow their oats will all the dignity and class that it sounds like PNG used last night.
Will it hurt? H E L L yeah, it'll hurt! But it will make all of these young men better people for it.
-
Cardfan, it's NOT really about the emotions that they showed after losing, it's all the OTHER cr@p they started off with.
Those people (coaches and players included) came out acting like their waste products didn't reek.
Heck yeah, WE are talkin about 'em. They left a bad taste in our mouths. If winning the state championship every year for 100 years makes the people in the community think that they have the right to disrespect other people, I'd just as soon we stay home. NO little piece of metal is worth my kid giving up all his self respect.
You'll forgive us if we aren't real worried about their feelings right now?
-
Well, since you can't talk that daughter of yours into postponing her wedding,
(Some people are sooooo inconsiderate...I mean, I am missing my Wildcatters Hockey for football :) you'll just have to make plans to catch another ride on the L-TRAIN the next week! ;D
-
We'll put it at the gate!!
-
Ah, thank you, kind sir! I hope that doesn't mess with the mojo!
-
Wow Tiger85, great props for PNG. Thanks for sharing. (Not that we would expect anything less from them).
PNG may have lost the game last night, but they are still ALL winners!
-
I don't know if anyone ever answered me, but if so, I missed it, and I will apologize for asking again. I was reeeeeeallllllly tired yesterday!
WHO is the HOME team this game?
-
-
Just from the parts of the game I was able to listen to, it just sounded miserable all the way around. It was a cold, wet, stay at home curled up by the fire kind of day-NOT an outside kind of day. Sounds like your boys weren't able to shake the chills once they got off the bus. I really hate that for them. I was pulling for ya'll.
It was a great season, and you've got great fans. Nothing to be ashamed about.
-
Ah, ok, cool. We were just making our own noise, so there was no way to hear them.
We seem to have a new "tradition" to: Someone says "How bout them Raiders?" , then everyone goes nuts!
-
Cant wait to see another great game but I dont know if you guys can top the atmosphere Friday night, that was really something.
Believe me, somehow, we WILL!! ;D
-
Is that what they were saying? From where I was, on the 50, I could barely hear them, and we couldn't understand what they were saying.
-
-
You already know the excuses... the refs gave ya'll the game.
Ha! Yeah, HANDED it to us... :
NO TAILGATING AT DP STADIUM? ARE THEY CRAZY?
