  1. I'm sure the schedule will be much better since coach can make it now. He walked into a brutal schedule and a jr / Sr class that was low on numbers and never won a game in jr high. You're right, other teams are young also but usually have some jr/sr leadership. Anahuac has 9 freshman on the roster but also has 15 seniors for example. I'll bump this thread next year and we will see how it turns out.
  2. OF needs to be 4a. Hardin is loosing some dudes but will still be decent. I'm pretty sure Bridge City and H-J won't be on the schedule either.
  3. Some of you guys are delusional. We have played with basically a JV team for the last 2 years. The cougs have been in shotgun all year running slot t and spread concepts. Every team has played press man and loaded the box. Youth is the issue, not the offense. The record this year was the same but there was a vast improvement from the previous year. Games were very competitive for the most part with a ton of soph starters. I would not be surprised to see them be over .500 next year and even better the next.
  4. Hardin should win this, we played our worst game of the year vs Anahuac. they have some talent but should not be a problem for Hardin
  5. Couldn't have said it better
  6. so close. cougars are improving every week, these guys will be a force in the next few years. have a bye week and then a tall task again with Hardin. they are where we will be in 2 years, loaded with 3 and 4 year starters.
  7. East Chambers JV 34 Buna JV 14
  8. Very young team that had a tough pre-district schedule. EC speed will present a tough match up, but the Cougars have some big young bucks and will play power football. We will have to play mistake free offensive football and keep the ball out of EC's hands. Future is bright, not quite there yet but getting better.
  9. Closer than the "experts" think
  10. 13 jrs/srs. 1 is the deep snapper, 1 is the kicker and 1 is injured and out for the year I believe.
  11. Way to go Coogs! Tough district schedule ahead, but all these sophomores are getting better and better
  12. Ok, so we went from 7 to 5, I'll stick with my 3. Either way, Newton is scary good and we are young with a tough schedule. Good luck to the Eagles
  13. For the 1's Newton 3 tds Buna 0 Newton is very good, we are still young.
  14. Buna JV 31 Coldspring JV 22
