  1. 92, you are forgetting about Seth Thomas, Tim Matherne, Mario Rose, Ronnie Dennis, etc.
  2. Kribyville always takes it up a notch in the playoffs. Heck, they beat Barbers Hill the past two years and the Hill was supposedly "unstoppable."
  3. I think 3 teams is too many. Heck in 3A, there is a team in the playoffs with a 2-8 record and several with 3-7 records. For that reason, I don't think there should be a set number from each district. There are teams sitting at the house that are head and shoulders better than that. I don't know how they could change it though.
  4. Kville - 16 Silsbee - 13 Orangefield - 13 BC - 6
  5. 150 rushes for 1122 yards. 7.5 yards per carry and 14 TDs. 4 receptions for 40 yards and 1 TD.
  6. I would say Bevil. 104 for 157 (66.24 completion percentage) Only 4 interceptions (1 int for every 40 passes thrown) 1682 yards passing 21 TDs passing 26 rushes for 86 yards and 2 TDs. And to add to that, the young man is an excellent leader.
  7. These totals are for district only and are according to the Beaumont Enterprise. WO-S scoring by quarter (Averages): 1st - 14.14 2nd - 12.86 3rd - 10 4th - 6.43 Total - 43.4 WO-S scoring by quarter (Totals): 1st - 99 2nd - 90 3rd - 70 4th - 45 Total - 304 WO-S Rushing Averages and Totals: 198 per game, 1386 total WO-S Passing Averages and Totals: 195.29 per game, 1367 total Opponents scoring by quarter (Averages): 1st - .86 2nd - 2.14 3rd - 3 4th - .86 Total - 6.86 Opponents scoring by quarter (Totals): 1st - 6 2nd - 15 3rd - 21 4th - 6 Total - 48 Opponents Rushing Averages and Totals: 129.42 per game, 906 total Opponents Passing Averages and Totals: 29.29 per game, 205 total
  8. This one is a no-brainer. Anyone that has over 400 yards on the ground should get player of the week for the whole state......
  9. I agree that there are only a couple of teams with the athletes to run the spread. When ran the right way, the spread is very effective.
  10. I hate these topics. Every team has a chance. In some cases, it depends on which way the dice roll. However, WO-S has all of the key necessities to do it - stellar defense, excellent QB, RBs, WRs. The O-line has IMO improved with every game. They may not be the biggest, but they block really well. Depauldrick doesn't get credit for this often, but he is one helluva blocker. It will be hard for teams to defend this offense. If the run doesn't work, we will pass and vice-versa.
  11. The JV defense could also be called the Chain Gang. They are a tough bunch. The freshman team would be undeafeted if it wasn't for injuries.
  12. "There may be a 90% chance of rain, but there is a 100% chance of practice." - Coach Thompson
  13. Moody has done an excellent job so far. Who would have thought the Bears would beat PN-G? I am telling you, LC-M will continue to get better every year under him.
  14. I have been very impressed with the O-line thus far. They aren't big, but they offer plenty of protection. Coach Basinger has done an excellent job this year.
  15. lostaussie, do you have Gilmer's defensive stats on the year?
  16. If WO-S's primary weapon was DPG, there is no telling how many yards he would have right now. Our offense is more of a "spread the love" offense. Anyone of them can hurt you with a big play. I have seen Depauldrick do some things I didn't think were humanly possible. I would bet that half of his yards are after contact.
  17. I think that number will change after Friday night.
  18. 2 freshman teams, a sophomore team, and a JV? Good Lord, how many kids are in the high school football program over there?
  19. Catches/Yards/Average/TDs Earl Thomas 17 298 17.5 6 Jacoby Franks 17 281 16.5 3 Ronnie Dennis 7 113 16.1 2 Dominique Rhodes 6 108 18 2 Kendrick LeBlanc 3 29 9.7 0 Depauldrick Garrett 1 35 35 1 Jamere Batiste 1 7 7 0
  20. Check here to see the live radar.
  21. If the game comes down to one blown call, you don't deserve to win. In other words, don't put the game in the referees' hands......
  22. kvilleballa, let me get something straight. Orangefield beat Jasper worse than Kirbyville did. But in your opinion that doesn't matter. BUT, Kirbyville has beat Orangefield many times in the past or so you say, and that somehow does matter, in your opinion of course. On to my prediction - if Orangefield can defend those "floater" passes Kirbyville throws, they will win. As everyone has said, Orangefield has the heart and determination to win.
