  1. sticky, congratulations, that is the post of the year. I am still laughing.
  2. Yeah, after I posted that, I saw where you corrected raidernation on a few of his stats. I think the biggest surprise for me is Nederland and PN-G so close to the bottom.
  3. I am adding these up from raidernation's posts. Pass + Run = Total 1. WO-S - 66.6 + 112.2 = 178.8 2. Dayton - 119 + 108 = 227 3. Hardin-Jefferson - 82.2 + 153.6 = 235.8 4. Anahuac - 68 + 177 = 245 5. West Brook - 129 + 117.2 = 246.2 6. Barbers Hill - 113 + 134 = 247 7. Newton - 60 + 197 = 257 8. Hamshire-Fannett - 93.5 + 173.75 = 267.25 9. Central - 172 + 101 = 273 10. Jasper - 85.6 + 190.8 = 276.4 11. Orangefield - 51.3 + 234 = 285.3 12. Bridge City - 86.5 + 203.5 = 290 13. Lumberton - 69.6 + 229 = 298.6 14. Silsbee - 62.3 + 255 = 317.3 15. LC-M - 105 + 213 = 318 16. Kirbyville - 103 + 226 = 329 17. Memorial - 95.8 + 234.6 = 330.4 18. Ozen - 119 + 218 = 337 19. Hardin - 87 + 259 = 346 20. East Chambers - 112 + 238 = 350 21. PN-G - 207 + 144 = 351 22. Nederland - 120 + 290 = 410 23. Vidor - 179 + 256 = 435
  4. Don't forget, Brandon Williams is going to A&M. If I was Moye, I would pick somewhere other than A&M.
  5. Probably Silsbee's Craig Martin. Didn't he kick like a 51-yarder earlier in the season?
  6. Here are the WO-S defense rushing stats. Dayton - 178 LC-M - 108 Bay City - 102 Hamshire-Fannett - 62 Kirbyville - 111 That is an average of 112.2 rushing yards per game. They are only giving up 66.6 yards passing per game. Compare that to last year's first five games: Jasper - 227 Nederland - 74 Bay City - 208 Central - 248 Anahuac - 119 Average of 175.2. I would say the rush defense is a little better this year.
  7. Who is that directed at? Nice use of the English language.
  8. Hooks has the highest winning percentage in the state out of all classifications.
  9. I would have to agree with WO-S. They don't have that one player that always gets the ball this year. I think that hurt us a little last year. WO-S spreads the love on offense, as you can tell: Rushing Carries/Yards/Average/TDs Depauldrick Garrett 79 577 7.3 4 Earl Thomas 38 276 7.3 3 Jacoby Franks 13 64 4.9 1 Kendrick LeBlanc 7 30 4.3 0 Leatrice Robinson 5 27 5.4 1 Andre Bevil 8 9 1.1 2 Receiving Receptions/Yards/Average/TDs Earl Thomas 17 298 17.5 6 Jacoby Franks 17 281 16.5 3 Ronnie Dennis 7 113 16.1 2 Domique Rhodes 6 108 18 2 Kendrick LeBlanc 3 29 9.7 0 Depauldrick Garrett 1 35 35 1 Jamere Batiste 1 7 7 0
  10. I have never seen anyone run the ball like Depauldrick did last night. He was a machine. Just when I thought he was going down, he would get more yardage. His last touchdown run for 32 yards was absolutely amazing. It was an overall excellent game for the Stangs. Kirbyville has a good team with a lot of speed. They are going to have to work on their defense if they want to beat Silsbee. As long we keep playing without turnovers, we will be alright.
  11. Dugat hasn't been getting near as many carries. From a statistical POV, Mosely is the better back.
  12. I think PN-G will be surprised at how much better LC-M is this year. However, I still think PN-G wins this game.
  13. Well that doesn't explain teams such as Central and Lumberton. Two years ago, I believe Central went 0-10 and then the next year they win district?
  14. The coaches play a huge role in a winning tradition. With great coaching comes discipline. Discipline is a necessity in high school football.
  15. IMO, the coaches have a priority to put the best players on the field. Period. The kids that failed will sit out for three weeks. Why punish them an extra week?
  16. That is the worst article I have ever read. IMO, he wrote the article just to dog the kid. It doesn't get any lower than that.
  17. Lumberton will get a real matchup in this game. I'll take Dayton by 2 TDs. Dayton has speed and size. Watch out for the quarterback. I think him and Dugat will both have big games.
  18. WO-S Jasper Kirbyville I just think the Dawgs will turn things around by district. But really, it is going to be a toss-up..... Silsbee could squeeze in there. I am also not counting BC out just yet.
