    This a boring game.

    Last year was much different.

    Just my two cents.

LCM hasn't made proper adjustments to stop the run. WOS O-line is as big as PNG and it shows. The Bears are going to have to commit to stopping the run if they want any chance of getting back in this game.

What amazes me is the passing game has worked pretty well for Little Cypress but we rarely used it. They continue to run the ball up the middle where WOS is crashing the inside and committing to stopping the run. The fumble was a killer along with the sack deep in the back field.

The Bears have to score when they get the ball after halftime.

  2. Little PSA for the game tomorrow.

Your tickets must be purchased online and I would advise to get there early as the check-in process can take time.

Also unless something has changed in the last 2 years their concessions at least on the visitor side is fairly basic so you may want to grab a bite prior. Nothing against the workers or the school but other venues have better food choices.

It's simple.  Transfer the right way without any shady business and you get cleared.  That's such a tired complaint.

This game will be simple too.  WOS has a couple playmakers, LCM doesn't have any.  WOS kids expect to win, LCM kids don't and typically go over there terrified.  For LCM to have any shot, Peevey has to be as good as he says he is and Hickman has to be as bad as the WOS people say he is.  Both feelings are ultra exaggerated.  Mustangs win big!

To say that LCM doesn't have any playmakers takes ignorance to some pretty special heights. Yes, West Orange has always been stacked with speed and kids who have a knack for playing with the pointy ball both in quality and quantity, but to downgrade everyone across I-10 is something different. Based on your history I know you're not a fan but that doesn't mean you denigrate young athletes.

You asked the question.... I answered. Better at what refrencing last years transfers not every one in history........ I just stated facts based on the task at hand.

LC-M went four rounds deep in '21 just like WOS

    #facts

As far as the game on Friday I watched some of the highlights from Nederland and West Orange is stacked with speed as usual. If we play their game the Bears are in for a long night but if the Bears can control the ball and clock, I think it'll be similar to last year with both ball clubs duking it out until time expired.

Payne has to establish the run with the zone read and get in a rhythm throwing the ball.

As far as the comments about taking them off the schedule and the lack of transfers I don't think that will change Hickman's mind at all. IMO

  5. Half time synopsis

The Bears have had multiple mental mistakes that against a better team would make the difference in winning or losing the ball game. Hoping these are all first game jitters.

Payne looks to improve on throwing the ball as they game progressed and the running game finally woke up. The defense is doing a reasonable job against a great running back and #44. Both great athletes.

After watching Harden Jefferson last year the program they have definitely improved.

If The Bears can clear up those metal mistakes I suspect they'll hang another 21 to 28 points on HJ.

How will this one turn out

I saw Ashley run the computer model and based on previous years I have a strong feeling that the second team will be in at halftime with underclassmen getting lots of time. Keep in mind this team was one and nine last year with their only win over another one and nine team.

LC-M is playing down a division and I would just consider this week three of scrimmages for them. The real test comes the following week across town.

    Could be wrong!

Hoping the Bears can secure one of their two to three predicted wins this season. 😆

For the ppl that want to keep up with scores:

    With the 1’s was like
    17-7 PNG (1-2 quarters)
    With the 2’s
    14-6 LCM (3-4 quarters)

    All 4 Quarters
    Like 23-21 PNG

We just won't talk the two INTs that may have went to house for the Bears. Great competition regardless. Good luck to the Indians. Hope y'all can get back to AT&T!

  8. Great opportunity for the Bears to go up against a 5A State Finalist.

What should each team focus on? Will a limited QB running game affect LCM? How as PN-G reloaded?

How fast will be visitor side fill up and what's the over/under on folding chairs? 75... 150? How many times will the fans do the tomahawk chop?

    So many questions!!!

How is that possible? I believe the UIL sets the numbers. Lets not ignore the fact that LCM is scrimmaging a significantly smaller school and not dominating. That should be a red flag for what is to come in district play.

Spoken like someone who wasn't at the game. LoL

Let's not put a lot of weight on scores when it comes to scrimmages... Keep in mind a good portion of the offense will more than likely be a run option with a quarterback which is something you shouldn't practice in a scrimmage. I counted at least six forced fumbles/turnovers in the Bears favor.

All in all the Bears looked good for their first scrimmage and got over 2 hours of live practice against another quality ball club. The real test will come next Thursday when the 5A state finalist come to town. The goal is to get better every week and start to peak around district/playoffs.

LCM 15 yrd TD Pass. PAT good.

    20-6 Bears.

Both these teams are well coached should be in great position come playoffs. Bears are very balanced offense and weren't fooled by the slot T. Orangefield playing up 2 divs and it shows that the still need some experience in the backfield. Lots of fumbles and slips.

There still playing but I'm out. Good luck to both my neighbors this season. Nice to see the stadium lights on again. My first trip back to Bear country in 25 years. Can they get rid of the community horse troughs in the restrooms?

Peevey is aware of the restroom situation lol. It'll change when they flip the home side to the visitor stands.

I look forward to watching #16 at qb. He refuses to go down and had what seemed like yards everytime he ran the ball.. when you have a qb running at people like that. That fires a team up

Last yr only 1 loss in JV and undefeated freshman team should churn better than a 2 win season I would like to think lol

Been told that he's put on some weight and picked up some speed in the off-season. You almost have to have a dual threat quarterback in high school which was something they were lacking last year. Ton of underclassmen on the team that will be starting but then again they had 10 sophomores starting last year.

Most of us could. If and when they expand the visitor seating. $2 for water should be a law. I wish I could remember how much bottle water was at over here. I'm thinking $5

My understanding is the long-term plan is to turn the visitor side into the home stands. That way the visitors are baking in the sun lol.

Totally agree on the water. A small markup on an essential item is reasonable but not five bucks.
