1. I went to that Silsbee vs. Kashmere game.  It was more like Silsbee's varsity without the football players, or the JV team.  Throw that game out as far as judging what would happen if they meet in the playoffs.  Houston Sterling?  Idk much about them.  I go to church in that part of town, that's about it.
 2. If I'm reading the brackets right Silsbee could play Kashmere again in the Region 3 area game.  The winner of that game would play yates in the Regional quarter final game, one game before the regional finals in Huntsville.
 3. I didn't say Yates and D Madison will beat every team in their path and meet in the 3A finals, although there is a high probability of that happening.  Anyone who is not aware of those two teams is not paying attention. I love my Silsbee Tiger basketball though, and the Kountze Lions.  Back when I was in middle school Brannon and Manning were like rock stars in Silsbee.  That's probably what influences the 'kountzer' name. Good luck to both teams.  Afterall, it's just basketball.
 4. Could be.  Yates and Dallas Madison will have a lot of say in all that.
 5. I just posted what I was feeling.  The Tigers are definitely my favorite team, and that goes back a long way.  I like Kountze as well.  I hope they bring home another trophy, but trophy or no trophy my heart is with the Tigers.
 6. Silsbee should win district.  The Tigers are relatively short and don't shoot free throws well.  To me this is another indication that Yates is going to cake walk to Austin.
 7.
poll is a joke. #25 after losing to a JV team smh  ;D
Which team lost to a JV team and is still ranked #25?

This family has been a part of Silsbee athletics even before I was born. God bless them thru this. I will keep them in my prayers.
I mentioned about attending Frank Robinson Elementary from 1st grade on.  In each grade the teacher would seat us in alphabetical order: Banks, Bean, Bishop...My last name begins with a B.  IOWs this was a classmate; been knowing him from the first grade, literally.  The last two or three times I saw him was at Silsbee sporting events.  Silsbee vs Jeff Davis at Delmar stadium in Houston, a football game.  Then a few years later it was a Tiger playoff basketball game vs. Bryan Rudder in Conroe.  He was the loudest and strongest voice in the stands supporting Silsbee.  He could be like that back in school also, when the situation called for it.  He was a good person! His wife was just and strong as he was in the stands.
yes.  Need to keep his wife in prayer also.  She suffered serious injury as well.

 10.
I'm sorry, but for the fans that were on here saying Silsbee had lost at half, y'all are some sorry excuses for fans! They had a whole half to play! If I were you I'd be ashamed! I can only hope that Silsbee players don't get on here and see just how well some of their fans were supporting them! On another note, Good job dogs! I knew you could do it!
I've been watching football at all levels longer than I care to admit.  A lot of that was Silsbee football, Waldo Matthews & Silsbee High.  So, if I say I'm 'feeling' this or that, I'm usually not wrong.  I would of preferred to have been wrong this time, but I wasn't.
Kountze in the playoffs?
As I've explained several times before, I grew up in Silsbee.  From the 1st grade at Frank Robinson Elementary to graduation from Silsbee high.
 12. This was the first time I've been back to the Kashmere HS and gym in over ten years.  The last time I went to a game there Ozen played against somebody.  It wasn't Kashmere HS.  The gym was a neutral site.  The star attraction that night was then sophomore Kendrick Perkins.
 13. Silsbee could of won this game.  They played sloppy at times.  I agree, too many long passes.  11 for Kashmere is good.
 14. Yep.  Huffman? Not a problem.  Stafford?  Not a problem.  Carthage?  problem, maybe.  Friday 8 days from now will answer that question.
 15. I'm old enough to remember Lutcher Stark High School.  I recall going to a Silsbee basketball game there.
 16. Silsbee vs Stafford.  The scheduled time is tailor made for me.
 17.
Silsbee should go another 3 rounds in football! May not have a full Tiger team till 2nd week of December. What they have now is a very good team as well.
Three rounds? Carthage is in this bracket.  I don't know.
 18.
Silsbee fans need to come out inn full force Friday! Come to Houston shop in the morning. Head out to 45N for the game.
Per what I'm seeing on google maps 59 North is more like it.  1pm on a black Friday, I might can make it to this.  Then the basketball team plays @ Kashmere that Monday night.  Silsbee in H Town.
 19.
Drexler was average in high school. Didn't blossom until college. It's obvious he was picked for his exploits after high school. Eddie Owens, or as we called him from the neighborhood"Mauchie," definitely should be on the list. And was also a very good college player at UNLV.
Karl Godine.  Better yet  Dennis Rodman.
Silsbee needs to win a state championship first, and worry about national recognition later.
No, Silsbee needs to win regionals first ;)
Winning regionals is a tall order these days with Yates in 3A, so you're right.  My point was I've seen Silsbee win regional before.  I've never seen them win state.
I don't know iff they can win it this year either, but it should be intresting to see. Yates should win state without one game being closer than 25 points.
That could be true.  Time will tell.  That is why this thread about Silsbee getting National recognition is so ludicrous.  But, this is only a message board.  You have to expect some outlandish comments.  I'm still a Silsbee Tiger fan, come what may.
