Lining up in the shotgun on the goal line smh. We need to either fix that or find a field goal kicker.
That is so strange to me with these shotgun formations on goal line, 2pt conversions, etc with no apparent urgency to check into something else prior to the play.

Not at all impressed with Woodville’s defense

Diboll will now travel to Franklin for tonight's game due to Diboll not having stadium lights for tonight's game.
Well that solidifies my prediction of 63-12 Franklin

Nope I have Franklin playing with minimal mistakes and not turning the ball over. It more than likely will get ugly late 3rd quarter....

Franklin probably wins by 3 TDs… but not that bad lol

63-12 Franklin over Diboll

I’m not one to harp on coaches, but some of these games in district (and even playoffs) will come down to specific coaching adjustments and play calling….Woodville 🤷🏾♂️

Thanks for the input... I really haven't looked at Newton's size just yet but on Woodville's schedule as far as I can tell only us Westwood and Franklin are the biggest size wise they will see for at least the regular season. The next opponent in Liberty are very undersized and Woodville should fare way better than Coldspring did against them. This @jds82 is what I was referring to about common opponents no matter how each team plays each but I do bother to look at the teams and the score although on any given Friday the outcome can be different.
Nice write up. It would be great if district started up this week. Patience is not one of my strong suits. As mentioned before, this district should be fun to watch and my prayer is that each team continues throughout the season with minimal injuries and each team gives it their all!

There's a lot of truth into this but also realize this that some teams in the same district that may play common pre-district opponents and it's something that you can go by own. However with that being said sometimes teams play each other differently to their strengths and weaknesses for example next weeks game when we play H-F. Now East Chambers isn't in our district but they're in our bi-district and we can possibly play them in the playoffs providing that both teams make it. Now take both Coldspring and East Chambers schedule the common opponent is Hamshire-Fannett and EC has played them a different way then what we will play them (we run the Slot-T don't know what EC runs) but it's the same opponent so I can't speak for nobody else but I take stock when it comes to pre-season opponents common or not.
That’s true

Woodville will be OK. They will make a run for state. Good luck I will be pulling for you on your state run. Woodville will win district and go on a run. They surely have my respect.
Yeah in all honesty they should be fine

Yes, forfeit the last 2 games making your record 0/4. That’s how you get respect.
Who cares about respect right 🤣

Yes because looking at the other games in district inspired me to do this.
Honest question…can we truly put much stock in these pre district games? It’s a whole different game when district starts..just my humble opinion

Woodville will go 2 or 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.
What I think will set them apart is cutting down on the penalties, turnovers, and coaching adjustments

I’m sure it’ll feel great for Woodville to not lose another game from next week until the final district game. It certainly can be done and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens

Absolutely not... The teams they played are perennial powerhouses where you like it or not which one is a defending champion and the other one has won a few recently. Woodville played the 2 games on the schedule and for them to be hanging around in both games speaks a lot about them. I've teased @Woodvillian1980 all night but I'm a realist and not a fool so DO NOT count them out as the rest of the schedule is "fairly easy" and that's start with Liberty next week and I will pay attention to that one.
I agree with you 100%. Playing top notch competition the first two games is no slouch. I would say about 90% of teams wouldn’t dare schedule back to back teams on the caliber of Franklin and Newton. It should bode well for Woodville down the stretch. I’m sure they’re not happy about the result but shouldn’t be discouraged. Keeping their focus and continuing to grow is what they need to do.

Hmmm I know this is probably against UIL rules, but my thought is that Woodville should take these last two non district games and rest (forfeit), figure out their identity as a team (coaches included) and start district play on a clean slate. What say ye???

Typical Woodville…..

The broadcast wasn’t working earlier for me. What’s going on with Woodville’s defense? Is Newton that good, is it due to a lack of film? I’m flabbergasted and the last play with 1 second on the clock is mind boggling to me.
-
Well this is interesting 🤔…let’s see if Woodville can turn things around!

Newton’s weakness will be defense. Very young, small and slow.
offense lost all but one lineman. New QB, and the starting running back is a freshman. Nothing to see here.PS We are Newton! 🙈
🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s been quiet on Newton’s end, but no matter what, the game will speak for itself. As we all know, Newton will be Newton. What’s understood does not have to be explained 🤷🏾♂️

Franklin is playing uninspired and extremely uncharacteristically 🤔
