Great idea. Once folks get used to it, poc. Those of us at home can’t update since we won’t know minutes & seconds, unless we just guesstimate - 7/24/3/7/00. Better than nothing.
Only visitors score/home score/quarter are required. Minutes/seconds are an added bonus but not a necessity any longer. I’ll ask Jordan to update the first post with the updates we’ve made

One tip I’ve found: if you mess up and leave something out and it doesn’t update the score, you need to delete and try again. For instance earlier I forgot the !!, but when I edited it and added them, the system still didn’t recognize it. I deleted it and did it again and it updated.
Thanks Bullets, the system sends information as soon as the post is made, it won’t recognize an edited post as the information doesn’t get sent again.
I’m looking into making !! without : a command as I’m seeing a lot of people forget it -

Fixes implemented this week:
- !!: and !!score: are the same command and achieve the same outcome
- minutes/seconds are no longer needed and won't be posted to the game thread title nor the aggregated scoreboard
- Minutes/seconds, if posted, will be added to the post
- h or H can be used as halftime, f or F can be used to indicate final in place of the quarter
- !!:28/10/f and !!final:28/10 are the same command now

It’s the members attending the games that keep the majority of the site updated. To type
PAM 50
PNG 15
Works pretty well… Simple.
There are two different methods we are speaking to.
The method to which you refer is great for updating only the thread where someone has to click into it to see the score and if there's been a discussion, the score itself can get pushed to a different set of pages than what's currently being displayed. The new method is to be able to crowd source the work to systemically update the thread title, a centralized scoreboard, and also a database. We're trying to enhance the user experience for folks to see scores and get updates.
As part of the feedback we're seeing, we've also put a system in place that can take the !!score: version and put it into a readable format within the same post, which should address one of the major flaws. You're encouraged to participate in either method but when just a few people outside the mods start inputting scores in the new fashion, the whole forum will see a huge benefit.

I think it’ll be beneficial for people making updates to make two posts: the first with a regular update, and the second using the format provided. This serves two purposes: 1. If it doesn’t work, we still get the update. 2. If it doesn’t work or is incorrect, admins can edit and fix it.
I think this fix will address the issue of readability
