  1. Mighty generous of you 😆
  2. Livingston was better than Huffman. However we gift wrapped them 21 points. A blocked punt recovered in the end zone, a trick play out of a timeout (a player appearing to be standing on the sideline catches an uncovered bomb with no one near him), and a snap richocheted off a Huffman WR in motion takes a wicked bounce returned 90 yards for a TD. Yes they were better no doubt. Not 69-34 better.
  3. A bit off topic but I was watching film of the Vidor / Lumberton game and was wondering how the young man from Vidort that hurt his arm is doing. It looked really bad.
  4. You did. 4 freshmen started. At one point 6 were on defense at the same time. It was a tough night for my Falcons. All you can do is lick your wounds and get ready for next week.
  5. Hard to say. Most of fence straddlers from the younger groups have revolved around baseball. I haven't heard too many complaints about the coaching staff this year as most people realize Huffman is down talent wise this year. Like I said I expect them to contend next year for sure, but if they were to lose 4 or 5 top kids to other schools that would change my expectations and I'm sure others would follow suit. Let's hope that doesn't happen because they have a chance to be really good.
  6. A couple of issues have led to this start: 1. This years SR class was pretty thin to begin with. Then 5 of them headed to Dayton to make it the thinnest I can ever remember. 2. The injury bug has been RIDICULOUS this year. They had 9 defensive players out against Columbus. They get all but 1 back this week so hopefully they stay healthy. 3. Replacing the back to back district MVP is tough (especially at QB). I wouldn't expect this to continue past this year. This team is loaded with young talent. And I do mean YOUNG. They will suit up 7 freshmen this week. 4 will start. Both the freshmen and sophomore teams were undefeated all the way through middle school and halfway through their freshmen year before being broken up to supplement the Varsity. The future is bright, just got to survive this year.
  7. And of course TexansLive is messed up right out of the gate.
  8. He was moving his feet so hopefully this is a precaution.
  9. I hope you're right. We have to cut back on the mental mistakes. We gift wrapped a better team too many opportunities last week.
  10. I wouldn't read too much into what Spring Legacy was last year. They have 3 D1 players on this years squad. I promise you Splendora doesn't wanna see them this year. That being said Silsbee is better for sure and is a tall order to say the least.
  11. Is Silsbee's field going to be ready for next week?
  12. Huffman Freshmen 22-6 over West Fork Gators Huffman JV 43-12 over Spring Legacy
  13. Huffman scrimmaged both teams and from the cheap seats it looks like Porter is significantly better than Dayton.
  14. Huffman scored on their first possession In About 7 or 8 plays.
  15. Quit trolling Cougar....save that for Barbers Hill lol
  16. It really is a joke. That should be addressed. Silsbee literally was the best 4A team in the state. Not sure why they basically had to play what amounts to a 6A team in the tournament. It's laughable.
  17. I'd say closer to 40....Burnet is fundamentally sound but they are WAY overmatched in this one.
