Week 2 Aledo travels to Lone Star. Should be a tough test for both teams.

Yes, in general Lovejoy is not mentioned often. They have not accomplished that much compared to those other schools. There have been really good one hit wonder teams here in DFW, Lovejoy is in that category for the time being. If they keep making region finals and having great seasons then they could make a name for themselves. But they have a lot of work to do before they are a household name. *For what its worth they are beast in volleyball. Probably more well known around the state for their volleyball program than football.

Then why would you hire them? If neither have had much success as a defensive coach recently?

Sounds fun. They should have a good LB core with the new kid and #20 who was pretty good last season.

Who moved in to Lovejoy? And I slightly disagree about 5-20. I'd say 10-20. The top 9 are pretty solid.

Carthage fans bring up wanting to play us frequently. Aledo fans dont. That was my point. And how many times have I talked about Carthage to be considered "a lot"? I'd doubt it's more than other SETX teams I mention.

Weird that you would brag about beating 5A teams all the time and show no quality examples. Marshall, Jacksonville and Whitehouse are not exactly impressive wins. Especially when you're trying to convince others you can beat Aledo. Id be more impressed if y'all beat Argyle first.

How many programs would you consider elite in Texas?

Crosby is a step up from Marshall but I dont see us playing Carthage anytime soon. Much more interested in playing Highland Park, Southlake, or Cedar Hill.

4AD2 has several excellent programs in it. Would be nice to see someone upset Carthage this year.

I'm a believer that the extra 6 weeks of practice a state team gets is worth something... Crosby makes my top 10. Idk about this year but next FBM should be the favorite to win state if they stay D2. Lovejoy seems ranked too high. Guess we will find out. Wonder how Texas High and Ennis bounce back. Region 4 probably comes down to Rouse and LH but I hope Tivy can make a run. Weird not seeing WF Rider in the top 10. How many does it say Aledo returns? I guess 5/5 but really we have a boatload of kids that played last season returning.

What do you mean by all-in?

Having said all that in my previous post, I'm pretty sure Lovejoy beats yall last year. Just my .02 cents. Several other teams give yall a very good game. So I wouldnt get too comfortable on that superiority trip. Plus, if we're all being honest, if LH gets a clean handoff they win. That kid would have scored standing up.

To be fair Crosby's playoff run was extremely impressive. If there was ever a time to have a big head it would be after a murders row like that.

I do believe fewer people will go to the game but I dont think the number will be significant. The schools could always charge to view the game. Anyways, last season I watched 35-40 games . Would not have watched 90% of the games if streams were not available.

That's a bit misleading. Both Aledo and BH both won in the second largest classification. There was not a 6A class in spring 2014. Plus Aledo also won state in football

Thanks. We return all but 2 of the girls. Hopefully we will be back next season. I know thats all they will talk about during the offseason. Yalls pitcher was very impressive! She threw smoke all game and we couldnt stack hits.

My guess is they called interference. She would have been thrown out either way if she tried to score. Idk.
