  1. You can going somewhere with the nonsense with underdog, respect, etc that you said... I said "sleeping" because everyone seems to think Vidor is losing a majority of the talent to graduation which isn't thecase. You must still be mad that L-Train blew a 27-7 lead to a depleted Pirate team.😂
  2. Vidor is returning a good amount of key players back next season and played alot of underclassmen mainly sophomores this year. I'd hate to see them run it back again, but y'all stay sleeping tho.😂
  3. That 2011 team was a beast of a different nature with alot of underclassmen as well.
  4. I definitely agree with you, only reason I brought up the playoffs is because you mentioned it. I think Peevey should've gotten it myself, like most thought for such an incredible turnaround from last years team. But I'm saying I can see why they picked Mathews as well... he had some pretty incredible games where Vidor probably had no business winning.
  5. Coach Mathews is Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold COY also. Just further proves it. Pirates lost to CH by 5 with an injured riddled team when Mathews wasn't even on the sidelines. LCM lost in the 4th round by 17 with Peevey. So?
  6. Congrats to all these guys. [Hidden Content]
  7. The COY choice could've went either way, imo. Peevey had a really impressive turnaround and Mathews pulled off a few crazy last minute wins all season.
  8. Congrats to all these young guys on this list, the selection was probably not an easy task for the coaches at the end of season!
  9. You ain't lying, I'm tired of the East Texas teams as well. What are the odds, both first round exits for Vidor in 4A have gone to the state semis or further.😅
  10. Great seasons Stangs! I know this isn't the way y'all wanted it to end because the standard is state championship or bust. But all of Orange County is proud of yall regardless! My prayers are with Elijah Gales, tough to see his senior year end on that kind of note.🙏🏼
  11. Great season Bears, there's nothing to hang your heads about. Y'all proved many doubters wrong this season. Way to represent 10-4A I, Orange County, and the Golden Triangle!
  12. I know that feeling too sadly as well this season with one of our best players. But that's all you can do is make adjustments and try to put your team in the best position to win. Prayers to Gales though, that kid is an absolute workhorse.🙏🏼
  13. I think that's one of most aggravating ways to go down. I don't mind losing but not when your team rattled with the injury bug and nowhere near 100% or heck 75%.
  14. If you keep up with powerlifting, be on the look out on just how much he lifts this year and don't be surprised if you see him in Abilene in a few months.👀
  15. There's a few area players I've seen get D1 Power 5 offers that play the same position and has no where near the talent or highlight tape as him, and we all know tapes don't lie. But if you want my true take on why he's overlooked? It's because the stigma of the town he plays for and he knows that because I've told him myself cause that's the only logical reason besides his height.
  16. Jordan has told me his height is a key reason. He swore he was 6'3" til he visited Tulane this season.😂 But he really doesn't get the marketing or exposure and Vidor doesn't use social media like alot of other HS do.
  17. A few weeks ago, some posters said that CH has some horses over there, and they do. One thing they do well with their athleticism, is getting to the edge on designed runs and screen passes and they gashed Vidor pretty much all night getting their players in space. Their young QB is not accurate throwing especially on the run, so if he drop backs and his first read isn't there he's taking off. I sure hope LCM can pull it off and wouldn't be surprised if they do. But CH just beat a really good Kilgore team, it's gonna be a barn burner regardless!
  18. I can't tell you how many times watching the first few plays of a game with Vidor's first series on defense and they try to block him one on one and he's driving kids 5-7 yards trying to put them back on the bus.😂
  19. Man, that's very true about Jordan. He truly never knew his size and strength for the longest time til about high school and that's when he really learned to utilize it and that's when he really hit another gear. But hopefully we can see him play at the next level the next few years and gives him a shot and let's him showcase his talent wherever that may be. Jordan did just get an offer from Howard Payne University yesterday. Its not a D1 school, but alot of NFL HOF'ers played DIII football as well.
  20. Yeah, he's definitely 270lbs. thanks for catching that!
