  1. This easily could be a trap game for Vidor and it has all the ingredients for one. Coming off a huge win against LCM, homecoming this week, and all the festivities. Livingston is still a good ball club, but I think Mathews can keep his team level headed and focused this week and will be able to block put the noise and ready for the Lions Friday night!
  2. hope Vidor can still be the underdogs this week.👀
  3. DCTF comprehensive rankings had Vidor at 26 last week.
  4. I know, I hate that for him as well. But I heard he's a helluva ballplayer as well! Hopefully he'll be ready to go by then.🙏🏼
  5. I think he's out for the season, he broke his collar bone I believe.
  6. This is gonna be a great game. Honestly, I haven't watched a Lumberton game so I don't have much to gauge them against LCM. But the Bears offense is good, they don't make mistakes and don't turn the ball over. They only thing that killed them last night was all the dropped balls. I'm taking the Bears.... but maybe Lumberton will surprise me once again.👀
  7. I think that's the age old question with alot Vidor fans every year. To me, this is the team to have a passing game! The QB has a great arm and makes great reads and decisions (most of the time) when he does pass the ball.
  8. I know the running back #7 is 5'7, so I tried to base it off him.😂 I'm not sure what he's listed at on the roster, honestly.
  9. I think playoff time is when we will most likely throw the football. Honestly, there is no need to throw the football if we are getting 3,4,5 yards a carry like we were last night.
  10. maybe 5'8"? that's probably being generous.
  11. another quote from the comedic legend last night after we beat LCM, "there goes the neighborhood!" 🤣 we really are the Rodney Dangerfield of Texas Football.
  12. the QB sees the field great too, unlike the past QBs we've had.
  13. I thought so too, right before the ball was snap on sooo many plays the safeties we're cheating in to stop the run and we easily could've gotten behind the secondary.
  14. He was getting reps at TE during two-a-days and had some passes thrown his way during a few practices. But you never know, Mathews may still use that wrinkle one day.👀🤣
  15. Whoops, my phone went haywire for a second.... can someone delete those post.😅
  16. Yeah, one of the reasons he told me is because of his height. Contrary what ppl think, he's not getting alot of looks like he should be getting from schools.
  17. Ahhh, I see what y'all are referring to now.😂 Glad both teams came away injury free (at least from what I say) last night.
  18. Tulane and Lamar are the two schools mostly interested him right now.
  19. Sorry, I misread what you wrote. Thanks for the correction.
  20. Me and my BIL thought the same thing when #99 sacked him in the 3rd quarter cause that is ALOT of weight and force coming down on you. But that kid popped right back up. Big kudos and tip of the cap to him! LCM will be alright and bounce back from this and I'll be rooting for them along the way.
  21. Dude is tough for sure, played with alot of heart last night trying to keep his ball team in the game all night.
