Young man should have showed respect for authority and avoided physical confrontation. But it can hardly be taken out of context like this. Not sure if he was the one with the 1st penalty, but the ref definitely approached him and said something to set it off.

I think this showed the voters that we can overcome obstacles on the road, in a hostile environment, in a playoff atmosphere, against a bigger team. If there was any doubt that WOS would be back among the elite teams, we showed what we are capable of.

The quality of the opponent should count for something. If all things being equal. If cuero and WOS both won 55-3 against lower quality teams, then I'd agree with you.

Ryan is tied with Bob Feller for the most one-hitters, with 12. He also pitched 18 two-hitters. But he never pitched a perfect game, nor did he ever win a Cy Young Award. I was there for one of his 2 hitters back in the 80s. But the thing I remember most about Nolan was the strikeouts. We made K signs and hung them over the 1st row railing every time he got a K. And now that I think of it, I haven't seen that done in a long time.

I would just like to see players rewarded for results. Not paid for potential. Sports contracts are too high and overrated. Brady is not my favorite, but i do respect his decision to make less money and spread the wealth for the win. When will pro atheletes realize they are blessed to play a game for a living?
