Has there been any talk about this game moving to Thursday, or anything like that, due to the potential weather Friday?  Just asking because I don't want to drive 5+ hours and get down there to an empty stadium.  That's happened before ha!

I definitely think this will give a better idea of where they are at, I would really want  to see what  the defense is all about.

I wouldn't say that it is far fetched, being Newton beat Silsbee by 3 scores last season. But that's why we play the game

I understand Newton is good but do you really think they are 4 td’s better Than  Silsbee? That means they would be competitive with some of the local 5a teams.

We start the 5A show for playoffs.

Newton beat the brakes off Garrison last week and they play a not so great Corrigan team this week.  Really wasn't anything to talk about with Newton this week honestly.  We talk Newton all the time but last week and this week really not much of a topic.

I understand where you got your info but for the life of me I can't figure out how maxpreps posted that score.  Of, that's right, accuracy is not a maxpreps strong suit.

It was more like THE Texas high school football historian! lol.  He is the modern day Joe Lee Smith..... 

I will be in the minority with this pick, but I see Navarro squeaking out a win by five points or less. Cuero had Navarro's number the last three years in the playoffs, but this time I believe Navarro breaks through. They are a senior filled team, full of motivation to get that green monkey off their back, they've added a nice little passing game to their offensive structure, and it's the best team in their school history. In one sense, this is like a state championship game for Navarro. Just getting by Cuero is gonna take all they've got, and with this senior laden bunch, I think they'll find a way. 

Goblin, on the previous show they gave you a serious "shout out"(referring to you by one of your screen names on another site)....I don't recall the exact wording but something to the effect of "a Texas high school football historian". Very Nice!!

We can't make any promises that we will take it easy on them. Newton has not lost a District game since 2011! No need to break that streak now!
