  1. If we have to lose...we'd rather lose in preseason than postseason. Maybe this late "start" will allow us to peak at the right season. Nice job Mustangs! Can't wait until Friday night at silsbee. 8)
  2. This radio station is great for gospel music, but I've had it on for about 15 minutes now and have not heard an update... :-\
  3. I disagree with you on this matter. I dont think that the issue is that he or anyone else on here is jealous of your program. AAW is a very opiniated person that not only has no problem speaking his mind but I think enjoys giving you his opinion about a matter. AAW enjoying debating football and is looking for anyone that is willing to spare with him. I think that your arrogance is calling him out more so than he is hating on your program. I have no beef with WOS football and want to support it very much, but its comments like this "We aren't buying it. He's just a joke. Mustang fans are used to it. We've been hated on for years. And by hated, I mean envied." that makes it hard to stomach WOS. I understand completely how he feels and I can promise you its not jealousy. If you would spend less time at the helm of your program boasting about its greatness and calling out anyone who is not bowing to your greatness jealous then you probably wouldnt have people like AAW constantly looking to say something bad about your program. : The "greatness" of WO-S' football program is not seen by most, especially if you don't have boys that have gone through the program. It's really not JUST about football. I know that some of you may not understand it, but until you live in this district and these men/coaches have the impact that they do on most of these young men/athletes...you won't. I know that there are some who boasts about WO-S' greatness, but I think that there are far more who simply don't give WO-S the credit they may deserve. Our football program does still own the title Winningest Football Program in the State of Texas-all classifications and we do go to the playoffs most years. We really don't need to BOAST about anything because our records speak for themselves, but don't misunderstand "boasting" and all the blab that we get accused of for just pride and coming to the defense of our program when need be. But, we could post on here all day...and will still get blasted...that is something that we're used to. Thanks for thinking about us!!
  4. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. Duh...it just hit me...the "volleyball" girls could have just said that they had the flu and then all of the concerned posters on this website could get their naps in because they wouldn't constantly be typing and posting on WO-S. Sorry, I didn't mean to bring it over to this thread...but the owner said that it involved football, so I thought it would be ok to post it here. LMFAO....YASS!
  5. W....the "forum gods" have spoken.... Maybe more Mustangs could DONATE to the website and get to experience some of this power! Oooops....maybe NOT!
  6. Venom, that was exactly what I was told on the sidelines last Friday night by a couple of WOS coaches. I asked why the different helmets and that was the answer I got. These were players that were JV last year, not necessarily this year. That is true. Seniors are the only ones who automatically earn their silvers. The rest have to wait to see if they earn their silver as well. It's a tradition and a good one. There's nothing like your son coming home after going in and seeing his silver hanging in his locker! Gotta love it!!! I have to take the Mustangs in this one! Go 'Stangs!!!
  7. Troll - Trolling is the act of purposefully antagonizing other people on the internet, generally on message boards. When done in a moderated internet community, this can result in banning Seriously....
  8. They played WO-S and WO-S is not a "measley ol' Orange County team, but nice try. Actually, I'm on your side. I was responding to their smack talk about what they will do to Beaumont teams.....it was all tongue in cheek on my part....LOL The kid bragged so much before the scrimmage and talked about how seriously they take it every time they put on a Bronco uniform and everything counts...even the scrimmages...He was adamant about being serious about the game!!! LOL....and used some foul language in the process.... Not good. Like I always tell my boys...if you are good at something, you don't have to brag or talk all of this trash talk...it will be seen. The bad thing is that Dayton is a good team and should go to the playoffs, but when these kids get on here with all of the talk...well, you know. It's really unnecessary. Surely his coach and hopefully not too many of his teammates know that he is running his mouth on here. Coach T and Co, wouldn't be too happy with it and then I promise, the player wouldn't be happy either. bunkinbronc might want to focus more on keeping his and helping his teammates keep their composure on the field because sometimes, that's half of the battle.

  10. I was told that Hooks and staff want to go scout Nederland/Jasper and Silsbee/LCM scrimmages. That's 4 teams that the Mustangs will be playing in the coming weeks. I think that is a very smart decision. Where will these two games be played? For those of us who will need to fill in a time slot on Friday?
  11. so varsity plays at 7, not 6? I thought I saw Thursday @ 6. Thanks!!!
  12. How is the schedule for the freshmen and J.V.? Why the change in dates?
  13. Hasn't one of the Parr brothers had some legal issues? I thought he graduated already, but I think I remember him being a sophomore when we played them. Same kid. Wow, it must be nice. If I recall correctly, he has been in trouble more than once. I hope he counts his lucky stars because I wonder how many coaches would "recruit" him? I know one that wouldn't...

  15. I see the respect in a 21 point prediction. All of your points will be from total domination, but any of our lowly scores will be from your mistakes. I guess you take this all from last year's game. Thanks for the respect dude. How much respect do you want, i shaved off half of the points wos usually averages because its nederland.
  16. Are the coaches' votes the biggest part of a transfer kid's being able to play upon transfer? Just wondering. Is it a majority thing or does it have to be unanimous?
  17. That would be nice. Maybe then, they would get a little more respect. Good luck and bring it home!
  18. We just keep reloading every year. It seems that we might lax up some and then... here they come. Coach Foreman will be nice re-addition, too. It all boils down to one word...D-I-S-C-I-P-L-I-N-E. Everything that makes WO-S, WO-S is secondary. These coaches are not just coaches, they are many of these kids only role model/male figure which I for one will be grateful for until the cows come home.
  19. Wow. Yet another example of the talent in SE TX. Congrats ladies. Las Vegas? Nice!!!
  20. I am a mommy and I say that barring below the knee hits would take away from the game. Heck, the refs can barely keep up with calling the rules that are currently in place. I honestly believe that 9 times out of 10...holding takes place on either side of the ball, but if you call every little infraction...it would be ridiculous. I hate if for the unfortunate instances when players are hit, but I agree with the previous posters who said that they are in the minority. It's not bloodthirsty, but it would definitely impact the game and I don't believe for the good.
