Davis, Bro chill. As Soulja stated Goat didn't mean anything negative about your son with that post. Sometimes as patents we have to learn to more laid back in order to get "OUR" seed to relax. What do I mean? After last Friday game with Central I looked your son up. I'm the type of fan that wants to know if we should worry about ya boy. Well, I came across him on IG, I also saw the picture of him extending his hand for the "coin toss" ... from those few pics I came across, I've come to my own conclusion that he is am AWESOME young man. My whole thing is this, don't be so uptight that YOU take away from HIS shine. Yes, defend your child. However take the time to recognize a compliment. (To me that's all it was)

And that's all I'm saying. Not only is SETXSPORTS watching, but " POTENTIAL SCHOOLS" may be watching as well.

I made the same mistake earlier in the week. Parents are supposed to defend their kids against Adults to a certain extent. That's why I apologized. Though I thought I did anything wrong, the kids Father felt disrespected, so as a Father I had to put myself in his shoes & see his perspective. I reacted the Wrong way, I don't want my Son to handle his Business in that manner. I had to step up & right a wrong; even though I felt as if I had no ill intent. Laws accepted my apology & we have moved on. People are watching my actions & comments, so if I don't condone certain things, I have an obligation to be a man of my word & practice what I preach. I'm only speaking of myself because I can only control me.

I question the relevance of this in the modern game. I mean, sure, it shows respect for the game, the players and fans, but is it really necessary? Majority of the players shake hands like it’s a race; they put their head down and just get it over with. You get the impression that it’s a painful task. Many players don’t even have the decency, or manners, to take a little more time and shake hands with respect while looking the person in the eye. So it's useless.

Why is this done before the game? Before the game you’re enemies, not friends. Before the game you’re concentrating on how to beat the opposing team/player , now you have to shake hands? Am I the only one who see’s this as backwards? Soon we’re going to have players hugging before games and cracking jokes. If I was a coach of a team and I saw one of my players cracking jokes and exchanging hugs with players on the other team before the game, I’d be pissed. But I digress…

Shaking hands is meant for the end of a match; the end of a battle. After both teams have executed their game plan and done all they could to win, then you should walk over to the opponent and show your respect for a hell of a effort. That is when you offer a handshake as a sign of respect.

In the end who cares? That they didnt shake hands enough for the publics liking. And no I’m not ignoring the fact that there was something said by a former board member of BISD where millions of dolllars were stolen and yes you were part of the board so that makes you guilty or does it ,character vs. personality; but that’s a very serious issue and a separate issue. Also for kids on social media if you cannot be responsbile for what you put on there then expect to receive that backlash,bottom line stay in child's place. But back to the topic of what I’m referring to is the handshake before the game. Just drop it entirely and get on with the game. Shake hands at the end of the game like you’re supposed to.

Sometimes they used 40 sec but most of the time it was 25@Butch for Memorial/Ozen,what the heck.Some of the refs better set the tone early or they gonna slow down the game time throwing multiple flags.That group let it escalate rather than issue warnings to both benches.

...but pAM is because what was seen vs. Ozen? Smh. Friday isn't getting here fast enough.

Should they have shaken hands? Yes.

How does not shaking hands equate to being Thugs. I do have a problem with not shaking hands. The kids don't only represent their Team, they represent their families also. Neil knew exactly what he was doing, so I ask this question; seeing these actions of this guy after being removed, do we really believe this guy didn't support some shady dealings?? He always claimed he wasn't informed. Nobody works around people & get duped numerous times without knowing their tendencies. This Guy is such a Coward. Why doesn't he show up on Campus & ask Coach Foreman why the kids didn't shake hands. To the media that ran the story, if you need to Print inflammatory comments about kids to sell papers, quit being spineless and take the criticism. Furthermore please quit pointing out errors in grammar because I've read numerous errors by reporters. Jags, now you know how some feel, learn & move on. We All make mistakes, let's not constantly repeat.
In closing I would like to say that I personally know many of the kids at Central, this was an attack on their Character and it should be addressed. Former Board members making Bogus comments unfortunately carries more weight than our common Citizens many times.

22 5a, your district is about as strong as a pack of kool aid in a swimming pool...PN-G played a super cupcake I called way before you even made the trip...wasted gas and time to play a cupcake 6a to "better yourselves" when it was a MUCH better one to the west of you across the tracks smh...gcm, again what a tough game ya'll had....I guess it's true, you are what you eat...cupcake teams from a cupcake district, play cupcake teams and avoid getting the brakes beat off ya by not playing better teams next door to ya...GCM how about playing da show...that's a roughly 30-45min drive...

There won't be much to talk about after about 6 min into the second qtr. (Much like this past Thursday night...lol)

To me, he certainly made his presence felt (defensively) especially when he came up and laid the wood on someone.

I Trained him to play every down whether on offense, defense or both. Conditioning won't be a Factor. Players make Plays. We didn't make enough as a Team last night. #25 may not see much offense until District, but once it arrives; Unleash The Beast. Clearly made his Presence felt last night.

Just in case you missed it in another thread, PAM was 6 kids away from being in 22-5A.

did you notice how he slid into the pocket, looking down field when pressure would come? I also think that the WR's need to continue running their routes. They'll fine tune things though.

My Hometown Heroes to us to the Shed tonight, but we win & lose as a Team. I think we will be Fine in District, but those Titans were grown men. It was like we owed them $56 & they wanted it back now. Lol
My boy says he is a little sore, but he & the Panthers will prepare for next week.
