I will say this again Nederland and MHS have played in basketball since English stepped on NHS campus.(EVERY YEAR!) Coach English doesn't mind playing,so what's up the dogs football coach. This game could be on with 1 yes from neauman. I can promise a yes from MHS.

Question:  With new schools and facilities, and many others renovated/remodeled, and with bond issues on the ballot, why is PAISD losing students?  Why is enrollment dropping?  The same question for PN-G?  We used to have an enrollment around 1600 (give or take a few) and now we are down in the 1300 range.  PAM had 2400+ kids and is now closer to a drop in classification.  Yes, I think PN-G should play PAM.  It would be a decent game most of the time.  During seasons where our talent pool is up ala 2014-2016, the Indians can go toe to toe with anyone.  Schedule it and go play and compete.  Not sure why we don't scrimmage or play in pre-district.

yeah bigger fish in district, whats wrong with having a more local rivalry with a "3 time district champion powerhouse"? Png had the onions to scrimmage us and outplayed us btw. I have more respect for them stepping on the field than someone ducking. Just my thoughts.

I don't see what's the big deal. Coach English his team over every season since he's been running the program. He takes his whipping like a man and teams improve from then on. Lol! Why can't Neauman do that? What's wrong with putting this big game on? I have nothing against the dogs. Who doesn't this would be a snot knocker of a game. I'd bet anything the dog players would be up to play this game. YOU THINK THEY WOULDN'T HAVE A POINT TO PROVE?

dayton doesn't scrimmage with coaches on the field. They have game like scrimmages with kickoffs punts penalties and yes a scoreboard game clock and 4 full quarters. The only difference I see between our scrimmages and a real game is the punts and kickoffs are not returned. Having said all that nobody wins a scrimmage even though it is odd to keep a scoreboard.

LOL...you guys...so why even use a score board?? how about just stop at the goal line?? wins and loses. PAM got their tale whipped and did not look good last year in the scrimmage...THEY PLAYED THE EXACT SAME WAY AGAINST CENTRAL THR FOLLOWING WEEK!! it's not like in the old days when practice started Aug. 1st with two a days and you had 3 scrimmages before you played in SEPTEMBER. that's one reason i say scrimmages can count for encouragement and confidence, because that's all you get nowadays is ONE scrimmage.

i know this is an old topic, but i get tired of people saying there is no winner in a scrimmage. BULLCRAP!!! anytime some type score is kept, there is a winner and a loser. if a full game scrimmage is played, team A scored 5 times and made extra points, that's 35 and team B scored twice and made xp, that's 14. winner and loser. now, it doesn't mean anything. doesn't mean you are going to win state and it doesn't mean you will suck. it shows where you need to polish and see who's better at what position. depending on the scrimmage, if it's a full game, i look at it like a NFL preseason game. you have full contact, with refs, game clock. doesn't count, but it's a WINNER and a LOSER. try telling some of those kids that they didn't "win" a scrimmage when they cleary scored more and dominated. if anything, it might build confidence in a young qb or a skill position player on varsity for the first time. these scrimmages count!! just not in the books.

#1 we are talking about PRESEASON. district is something different. i'll bring up neaumanns record..he owned PA...until 2002 when BETTER COACHING was on the rise with better players, so what's your point?? we have something to prove to the dumb parents who THINK mc schools are better in all aspects. it makes better since to play local teams in the preseason and i'm sure the revenue would benefit ALL schools, so no hole in the soul here. losing talent??? ROFLMAO!!! REALLY?? well if that makes you sleep better, but since PAM opened, do you want me to name how many players in the pros or played pro?? how many BIG D-1 prospects came from PAM and is currently playing?? yeah i think not...the "talent" PAM loss...hmmm...i know of one end that went to texas and played mop up duty and was never heard from again...so if you call that "talent" that transfer over from PA to MC, more power to ya...oh, it was a nederland poster that started the thread lol

I make this really quick...

#1. Those "ex players" you speak of are only there because them or their parents KNEW they would spend their high school careers as the #3 or #4 players at Memorial.

#2. 9 times out of 10, Those players/parents(from PA) that decided to take their talents to the middle of Jefferson County end up with nothing to show for their efforts. (Scholarships, scholly whatever you to call it)

#3. I know the few responses will be "Quality of Education", well let me just cut that of before it even gets started. If little"Susie" or little "Johnny" WANTS to learn they're going to learn. If they want be "dumb as a box of rocks" that's what they're going to do also. No matter WHAT SCHOOL they attend.

Now with that being said, good luck to the Bulldogs. Hopefully they continue that district win streak. Aleast for the next two years when realignment rolls around again, because those a South County Titans have been known to end streaks.

Bigdog, the Titans would are a whole different beast for the dogs to deal with. You don't really want it. You thought the speed and size for the mustangs the dogs problems.
