Don't blame the kids. Blame the parents. These kids are told at home that they don't have to respect authority figures unless respect is given to the kids first. We had this discussion on the basketball forum last year when the kid cold-cocked that ref on the court.  He felt "disrespected" by the ref.  It's a shame what some young folks are being taught today.

The only way this 4x200 relay doesn't win a state championship is if they drop the stick or if Dauphine is injured. He is the definition of world class sprinter! Did you see him explode at the 100 meter mark. Truly unbelievable!

The district is normally pretty tough every year. Dear Park is the king. The rest of the teams can go either way, its whoever makes the least mistakes. Also Sanchez for MHS was ALLSTATE last year as sophomore and the Titans have core group back this year and next. This should be the team to make history and make the playoffs for the 1st time in school history!

This is incorrect! Memorial's first year of existence the team of Hood/Roberts/Charles and Gorrer set the NATIONAL record at the time in the 4x200 meter relay. Yes, Jamaal Charles was on that team. Gorrer currently plays in the NFL as well. Last year Corey Dauphine ran 20.67 in the 200 meters. Fastest kid in America at 200 meters. This years team is will be fighting for the overall team title.

I was at the meet and there are several answers to your question.  First off many kids don't run track because they "don't want to".  Back in the day you ran track if you were in athletics.  This was a small school meet and 3 of the schools still have basketball teams in the playoffs so they didn't have most of their faster athletes at the meet. My son ran the mile at around 9pm.  It was about 40 degrees with about a 15 mile an hour wind.  Several schools had left by then.  The mile relay was after the mile.  So the results were skewed to say the least.  Overall times in track now are much faster than they were in 1976.  They set new records each year at the State Track Meet.

When you are giving up over 45 points a game in this current 4 game losing streak, it's pretty obvious what the problem is.

Despite him being 1 for 11. The offense 50 pts! 50pts! This is a defensive issue. Who's stopped our running game? Now the rb are fumbling too giving the other teams short fields when the d has made stops. This starts with defense!

Nobody cant tell me CJ made this much of a difference on defense for them to be playing this bad for 3 games straight. This is really bad.

The Titans are coming off 3 extremely physical games, this will not be good for cv. Watch what I say, cv is rolling into PA at the wrong time. 48-28 Titans. DAUPHIN might go for 300 yds. The display he put on against GR was eye popping. Cv will be worn out by half time. Time to get back on track Titans win this one easy.
