  1. Hardin will be 7-3 to finish up their district run. Stark was an idiot and couldn’t coach to save his life I listened to him while he was is Hardin and all I could think was omg!!! Everyone knows Hardin does not have exceptional athletes they do have some coming up but not now, but all the kids played with this year was HEART AND FIGHT and good coaching that’s why they won this year. Hardin did loose a starting running back and a key defensive player he would have helped them a lot he was on track to being a 1000 yard rusher to. So with that being said everything can’t be an excuse they found ways to win.. This is the same team Stark and his Staff went 3-7&0-10. Haynes put teams on the schedule he knew he could beat for himself and for the kids to win a little I don’t think he thought he would be at the 7-3 mark. 3-7,0-10,4-6,7-3 making the playoffs this year is not to bad. My hats off to the Hornets good luck in the upcoming years.

  2. From what I’ve seen Hardin has some athletes coming back next year that will help them win. I counted the other night and there are 7 starters on the defensive side of the ball coming back. 2 being freshman, 3 sophomores, 2 jrs and another jr that plays a lot! The offensive side of the ball the have 3 linemen coming back being a freshman sophomore and jr. Their big jr receiver coming back that had a stand out game against Anahuac. They will have a quarter back that will be a run/throwing threat that has taking a lot of snaps before he broke his finger he will be a jr. I don’t think loosing their quarter back this year is going to be a loss at all. They have their sophomore  starting tightened coming back. To say they won’t have much depth next year will be crazy to say they are winning now with a pretty young group of kids. They have a great jv group that will fill the gaps for the other positions and a kid that runs probably a 4.4 that will take over the reins running the ball. They will have their struggles next year being their whole team will be sophomores and jrs with a senior or two but Hardin is on the rise for awhile. Returning 7 on defense and 6 on offense. I’m a liberty fan but Hardin looks great for the future. Oh yeah about the buna score Hardin wins by 7 to make the 3rd seed.

If Hardin wins next week they for sure secure the fourth seed and have a shot at beating Buna for the third hole. Kirbyville has a good shot to beat Buna they have some good athletes there that could cause an upset! It will go like this.

    Woodville

    EC

    Hardin/Buna

    Buna/Hardin

    Anahuac

    Orangefield

    Kirbyville

    Warren

  5. Word on the street is that their starter is back and taking snaps at practice yesterday. So I would imagine that they are going to throw the ball a lot in this game from what I’ve seen in the couple games I’ve watched Haynes has kept it very basic. They will depend on #3 for sure but with someone with a concept of the offense at QB they will be way more versital I wouldn’t load the box if I was Orangefield. Haynes found something weak in k-ville last week and attacked it. He didn’t have to throw the ball. Now that he has a shot at the playoffs watch them old plays be dialed up. But what do I know I said that Hardin would beat them last week by 14 and the did..???

  6. If the starter comes back they should easily beat them or the 2nd string at that... The 3rd string I believe is to inexperienced to do a bunch of throwing if he stays in all they will do is hand it off to their horse and throw it a little... I can’t make this game so hopefully someone can keep us updated.

  7. People always bring up the past when it comes to things. Let’s play now and see the outcome... Yes Hardin has to fix a few things for sure but this is the same kids that went 0-10/2 years ago so for the fans and the kids to get excited to win some games let them. K-ville has always had a decent football program and they had some great athletes last night that were in the wrong spot. Haters are gonna hate good luck to the Hornets the rest of the way.

  8. Yes 1st string senior qb was out with personal issues. The sophomore 2nd string is playing defense but heard he broke his throwing hand. They went with kid that has never played the qb position and he done well made some rookie mistakes but did well. They handed to there stud running back all night and he was to much for the kats he had4 td’s on the ground and probably over 300 yards rushing... any one from HD  you might want to know the game of football before you say the Hornets would loose this game from what I’ve seen out of them the are scrappy bunch and show tons of heart, that’s one think you can’t coach and that’s one thing that HD never had... Hardin would kill HD this year as a matter of fact your AD would not play Hardin Haynes tried to get them back on the schedule and he said no. I said from the beginning Hardin will be 6-4 with a chance to upset sometimes get in the playoffs... could I be right???

  9. Didn’t end up making it to this one, but heard that East Chambers had a run for their money in the beginning they said that Hardin had a fumble on a key drive that killed their momentum they said that the sophomore did good for his first start as a quarterback took some big shots but played well. Also said #3 couldn’t be stopped and from a very reliable source that if he keeps running the ball like he is Hardin will beat Kirbyville and Anahuac at home, and is going to give Orangefield&Buna a run for their money for a playoff spot.Good luck to the Hornets the rest of the way!

  10. I heard there Qb was out too. I did watch the game last week and there backup is a sophomore that’s looks just as good.. To me he looks faster than the starter and seems to throw the ball well too. I heard that their Rb #7 was out for the rest of the year with an injury. If I were the Hornets I would run my horse #3 all night and let the sophomore let it rip this is a great learning experience for the kid. He looks to be a good athlete should be a stud by his senior year.

  11. Hardin will come out guns a blazing EC better not look over them. Hardin is better than they were last year and has a better chance to win with #3 in the backfield healthy... I heard EC has a big receiver that’s the real deal I would think that Hardin would have their sophomore cornerback mirroring him all night with help up top maybe they can hold him to minimum yards, but where Hardin is hurting is in the trenches their run stop game is what’s going to hurt them...If EC gets up a few quick don’t look for the starters to stay in long for the Hornets it could be a long night! 42-21 EC
