  1. BMTSoulja1, some of have lives and jobs and can't be on here 24/7 so it takes time to respond.
  2. Sorry, don't let my kids hang out at the Mall due to the type of people that hang there....sorry What type of people? I don't understand. Can you be a little bit more specific? Trouble makers. Most of them have there parents drop them off and all they have to do is cause trouble. And this has nothing to do with race so don't try to turn this into it. We have as many trouble makers here in PNG as other places.

  4. Several cheap shots Central players took on a interception return. This is something both schools should be embarrased about. I seen the fights but heard someone say a Central played punch Burnett in the face.
  5. All I can say about that is THUGS!!! This is what happens when they get ahead they have to show off. Thugs also come in purple and white wearing feathers. I've seen many a cocky PN-Ger in my day and it continues..... Yes they do, but not on this night.

  7. I don't have a dog in this fight either, but I have watched Dayton this year and watch Lumberton against us. As bad as we are Lumberton barely got by us. The whole 20 4a is weak this year, from the top to the bottom. Lumberton best bet is not have to play Dayton this year because there coach does like to run up the score and I think if Beard is not healthy Lumberton is in trouble trying to stop them.
  8. (tl;dr version [too long;didn't read - basically means a summarized version] at the bottom) First of all, I read these forums quite often, though I never post. To establish who I am, I'm in the Band at LHS, but rest assured, I guarantee that I am extremely unbiased because I love watching football, and that's that. (The only exception concerning bias may be UT =D HOOK 'EM) Second, now that I've said that, I go to every game, as that is required of all band students, and on that particular play when Anthony Beard went back in the game, the hit happened right in front of the band. I know for a fact that the guy that had the tackle went straight for the knees. From where I was sitting, I can't tell if "U" is correct when he says that PNG was going for Beard's knees the whole game, offense and defense, but I guarantee you that if you saw what I saw, you would have no doubt that Beard's knees were the target, not Beard himself. At that time, I thought nothing of it, considering I watch NFL games all the time and see targets painted on knees all the time, but I do agree that HS is completely different from NFL. You aren't paid any more or any less for winning, so intentionally causing an injury is pretty awful. Beard's knee status was an intentional result. That's all I'm saying. Don't attach the bad reputation that Lumberton posters have on this forum with me. I may be a senior at LHS, but I'm well-minded enough to not fabricate claims or make arrogant ones, not to mention that I have pretty extensive experience on forums. So basically (if you didn't feel like reading all of the above): - I know for a fact that whoever tackled Beard was going for the knees on purpose. - I do not deny nor claim that PNG aimed for Beard's knees the entire game. - I am not claiming that PNG played dirty on purpose, if at all. What was stupid was putting Beard back into the game hurt. The coaches were to busy trying to win the game than worrying about this kids future, he should've never went back into this game period. I wont use the word Stupid but I did think it was a bad thing handing him the ball as soon as he went back in the game hurt! I wish nothing bad against Beard, I love to watch him play.

I agree with the fact that he probably shouldn't have went back in the game but in reality the damage was already done the first time he went down. Agreed but it could've caused a more serious career ending injury. The kid has alot of heart and the coaches should've kept him out.

I may be a PNGfan, but I am a football fan also, which means when Lumberton makes it to the playoff I'll be there supporting them. I love to watch Beard play and hate that he got hurt, but he should've never been put back into that game.
  11. Thanks for the get well ozen, but I will have to disagree on the NICE HIT. I blame PNG's coaches for this. Those players were going for those knees the entire game, not just his either. They were going for the knees from start to finish even after he went down the very first time and then came back in 5-10 min. later. They went right at the knees again and again. He went down a 2nd time and went back in again and they go straight for the knees until he finally had to leave the final offensive series of the game. There are other players on the team that are dealing with the same crap, but not to the extent of his injury, because of that. They went at the knees when he was on Defense and they went right to them when he was on offense. No other team that we have played this year has even come close to what PNG was doing. It's a bunch of crap! This injury did not have to happen on that particular play. He was already bottled up by 2 defenders and wasn't really going forward anymore and then he see's it comin and a 3rd guy comes in straight for the knee. No reason for it at all. I would understand if it was a complete accident. For example, if he were about to run a smaller defender over and the kid thought better of it and went low. That's cool, because those things happen in football, but not this. I know people are going to come on here and argue with me and tell me that it's perfectly fine what PNG was doing because it's legal or whatever but it sure ain't ethical for coaches to be teaching HS kids to be doing this to that extent. This ain't the NFL where guys are getting paid millions to take somebody out, these are kids that have a future to think about. I guess PNG and their coaches will do anything to win...anything. Like I said, I know some of U are going to disagree with me on this and say this happens all of the time and injuries are a part of the game and it's perfectly legal what they were doing, etc. I don't think it's right, atleast not in HS. They were intentionally trying to cause a knee injury and that is exactly what happened. I don't blame the kids for this as they are just doing what they're taught...by their COACHES. I hope Mr. B gets what some of the PNG faithfull are already wanting to happen. All I can say is your a IDIOT!!!!! Beard is a great player, but no one was trying to go for his knee. The play he got hurt on was when he was trying to make a spin move at the end of a run. ALL_ABOUT you have an excuse for everything.
  12. I also traveled to all the Lumberton playoff games last year to support them and will do again this yr wearing my purple of course.
  13. Just goes with the game. Last year my wife and I along with my 9yr old and 3yr old were leaving the Lumberton PNG game (streets/neighborhood behind stadium) and a truck drove by us yelling at us and shooting us the finger. Just had to use it as a teaching experience for my 9yr old, blow it off, and take the loss. Theres idiots everywhere and we have our share here in PNG. I apoligize for the actions of some, but overall we have good people here in PNG but there are the bad eggs in the carton.
  14. LUMBERTONS announcer is just a flammin IDIOT!!!!!
  15. The older most experienced coaches for GMS and PNMS have either retired, moved to other positions or just not coaching anymore. These schools have lost some great coaches that helped teached these kids the fundamentals of the game. I remember yrs past the Coach Mays, Coach Beaumont and Coach Keith put out some great Junior High teams that were fundamentaly sound. We don't have that type of coaching at that level anymore.
  16. Bad calls for both sides, Lumberton held on almost every play. Game over and Lumberton deserved to win the game.
  17. Hats off to Lumberton, Beard is a freak. Hope he is ok. Hope them putting him back in there didn't make it worse.
  18. Everybody has to start somewhere!! We are in THIS season. What season are you in? Actually, L-Town has had numerous "winning" (over .500) seasons, they've just never led up to the playoffs like last year, or (with fingers crossed) this year is headed. Raider, honestly I am happy to see Lumberton doing well. But some of the raider fans get on here week after week and say how there going railroad everyone every week. Do I think we're going to win every week??? Well I hope we do. Do I think we'll win tonight??? We need to play a mistake free game.
  19. Man, this is more like the Green Fog that you are in. You're not from this Planet, are you? Wow tigervoice, I think that is rude!!!! Nevermind, thats what you pm'd me last year after we beat Lumberton and I posted something about them whinning, but I guess its ok for you.
  20. Shouldn't you be preparing for hibernation Grizzly? This will not be a blow out, and if it was, PN-G would be handing out the TNT. Lumberton better hope they are prepared enough. All the game film they have viewed from PN-G previous games will be useless. I believe we will FINALLY see the team we thought we had at the beginning of the season and make the playoffs. ;D put down the pipe I am glad to see the cockiness from the raiders. After all these years of getting there ***** handed to them year after year. And finally having 1 winning season, I applaud them. I can see why they talk alot of smack. THEY HAVE 1 WINNING SEASON.
  21. Wow, this district is so week. Cleveland will not get passed the first round of playoffs.
  22. To be honest the answer is yes, we are way overrated. Right now we are just not good....period....Hopefully we can turn this around, but right now its not looking good.
  23. It's been 31 years since PN&G has won a State Championship! Crush that! And the last time for Nederland??
  24. Crushing????? This game was far from being a crushing. My definition of a crushing was the one Dayton put on Nederland last year, that was a full blown crushing.
