What do you mean by lesser opponent ?
Just saying Newton is far superior in all aspects of the game than a good number of teams they play. Not being disrespectful to their opponents, but it’s difficult when the talent pool, not to mention the tradition there in Newton can’t be matched.
-
Probably be about the same next week against Trinity.
-
Not difficult to do against a lesser opponent.
-
Cougars are going to have to run the table to secure a playoff spot.

I would say more folks are paying attention! The majority of their players are the same kids from last year. The difference is 2nd year Coach Allen and his staff has changed the culture in Kville! The kids have bought in! Their attitudes have changed and right now they are rollin! Everyone in district better take notice. Good luck Cats!
Congrats on turning it around and putting another tally in the ‘W’ column.

It was a good way to start district play with a win, but Buna hasn’t beaten any team of note this season, and going up against Kirbyville Friday is going to be extremely difficult to come out on top.
OF and Anahuac should be a good one. Getting a win against the bobcats at home will be a tall task. I’m looking forward to see how this one plays out.
Good Luck to both teams.

Unless Kirbyville has a huge letdown after a big win over EC, they’ll roll in this one.

Buna: nothing but a hype train. That’s why they have fourth place….for the cougars.
Cougars might just finish out of that 4th place spot.

Probably your best choice as far as selection would be Faustos.

Yep. A lot of times it all depends on what stadium I will be going to as to if I get a pregame meal or not. Some stadiums press box food is very good and it's free!!!
Buna does not have press box food.
They barely have a press box.

Looks like it’s the same as in years past. Usually 2 or 3 teams filling three playoff positions, with a couple more playing for that 4th spot.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
-
How does everyone see this district playing out? Anahuac and East Chambers are always at the top. Kirbyville is having a good season. Orangefield and Buna seem to be on equal footing. Could Tarkington and Hardin pull off an upset or two? The schedule is fixing to get alot tougher.
-
The Exporters do have a cool fight song. Too bad for them it won’t be played much Friday night.

Alvin has never, ever been anything to speak about. 1st noteworthy school from that district is Manvel
Alvin was pretty good back in the late 60s when Gary Keithley was their qb.

While they did… I think it may be more of a case that Orangefield is worse this year than we thought maybe…
Agree with you 100%
Buna’s ground game will be the determining factor in this one. -

Interesting to see how he does against better competition… I’ll reserve the “We will be watching him on Saturdays opinion” but I’d imagine he could play at the next level based off his athleticism and size. What level at that next level is still to be determined.
Lamar is always in the market for local/area talent.
