BC 8A beat CO Wilson 8A.....  14-6.  Keep your head up, dawgs...y'all are going to win some games this year!

This was a good game. BC is tough.

I wish we hadn't had the penalty on the TD pass late in the 4th. Would have had a chance to tie with a 2pt conversion. Oh well, part of the game.

Good luck BC the rest of the way. I think we'll be alright.

Go Bullpups!

http://blog.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2012/06/its-ok-to-get-excited-about-luhnon-and-the-astros/#loopBegin

Mack and falcon, read this article.  Give this new management some time, it could be a method to their madness. The Astros are still years away from being relevant, so they need to rebuild the sorry farm system.

I hope it works out.

They do need to rebuild the farm system. Which is why they should've drafted Appel he was the only college pitcher in this draft who projected to have 3 60+ pitches and had the best control of any of the top pitchers. Pay him the extra 1 million he is worth it!

Also the article says that Lunhow ran the drafts in St. louis, is that true? Lunhow wasn't the GM in St. louis he was the VP, Houston is his first GM job, and I remember the people on MLB network talking about  how this was Lunhow's first draft he was in charge of. So IDK maybe he ran the draft even though he wasn't the GM.

I am pretty sure I read an article on Luhnow at some point that said he was director of scouting or something like that for 8 years with the Cards. I will try to find it.

Nederland and Vidor are the favorites and should battle for the top spot. Central has a proven QB who can play, but will the coaching be there Soulja? LC-M should have a strong offense with a speedy running back and a seasoned QB, but will they have a Defense? Ozen lost too much, so I don't see them in the postseason based on that. Don't know much about Livingston or Lumberton, and you can NEVER (kills me to say that) count PNG out of the talk.
1. Nederland (yes, I'm a Homer)
2. Vidor (Love what Matthews has accomplished)
3. LCM (Speed Kills)
4. PNG (that hurt)
5. Central (coaching too big of a ?)
6. Livingston (u never know)
7. Ozen (Lost too much to graduation)
8. Lumberton (sorry, don't hate)
I can agree with most of that except I think Livingston will definitely cause a little more uproar than PNG. Coaching can only you so far when you don't have much starters coming back. Idk maybe i'll be wrong but that comes with trash talk. I'm sticking to my original.

1. Vidor (returning a lot of talent including Big Q and some running backs that got some starts last year and performed well. Plus only loosing 3 seniors on defense is kinda big)
2. Nederland (got a lot coming back on defense but lost there running back and i think QB, correct me if i'm wrong)3. Livingston ( one of the top 3 QB's in the district and good coaching and good defense)
4. LCM or PNG (lcm has the fastest running back in the district and a good QB but i'm kinda ify on there defense and png lost quite a bit but has that good receiver and a great coach)
Hopkins (rb) got some time last year and Raines (qb) is back for his senior year.

Did hopkins ever start a game? and Okay thank you i'll fix it.
I'm pretty sure his starts were at the fullback position, that being said, don't know if he would stay @ fb or take a tailback spot?

Nederland sophomore won 12-2 in 5 innings. Game ended early due to run rule!
Andrew Martinez pitched for Nederland and did a GREAT job!! Don't know about JV. Ned was down last I had heard.

6. Back in the 80's, we had "leggins", they were basically 1" strips that ran from under the knee to the bottom of your foot like a stirrup. Pitcher got a hit, so my teammate had to bring him a jacket. His right leggin had slipped out of his shoe, he takes off jogging to 1st base from the 3rd base dugout. The wind was blowing in, so we could all see the legging flapping. Someone said he is going to bust his arse when he starts heading back.  Sure enough, he made it to right in front of the mound before his spikes got caught up in the flapping leggin. All we heard was RIP! and a great face plant in front of the mound.
