How many state championships has Buna ever won in anything by the way? 11 State Championships in Basketball and 2 in Powerlifting Not to many schools in the state of Texas has more State Titles in boys basketball than Buna and that means 1A through 5A

I would over load the left side with three recievers none on the right in a two tight end set. Run a play action where the tight end on the right blocks down then releases into the flats for the pass. If the corner bites on the play action the TE should be wide open!!

I just got off the phone with the director of the UIL and the rest of the season in 2A has been canceled. The have decided to give the state championship to Kirbyville since the beat Buna. Also Randy Musgrove was named first team all state at every position so congrats on a wonderfull season Kirbyville the trophy presentation and parade have been set for next sat at the Phillips 66 gas station on hwy 96

Buna, EC and Deweyvilles district is 23-2A Kirbyville, Woodville and Newtons district is 22-2A If you don't believe it go look at the UIL web page

HMMmm those games musta been played in EVADALE!! Games would be played in Buna and Evadale. It was always a double header for Buna's JV They would play the jv first then varsity bout 15-20 min after. But Buna would pitch one of the sophmore or junior pitchers from varsity against Evadales varsity. But back then the rivalry was more respect than anything else cause Evadales varsity was always going a few rounds deep as well as Buna.

I don't remember Buna and Evadales varsity ever playing but when I went to Buna 10 years ago the JV played Evadales varsity every year and the home team always seemed to win in the series.

You can't predict one game in baseball. You might be able to predict a 3 game series but thats what is great about baseball any team can win on a given day just depends on what team has there head in the game.

The reason they pushed for the neutral site was for media coverage. When the games were played on campus the games were never on tv now the Championship game is on ESPN2 every year.

You have to think Buna will make a good run with all the talent they have returning

This all happened in the 1999 season cause I played for Buna in 99 and that was my senior year.

Like it says the UIL is part of the UT system at Austin. Plus Austin is almost the center of the state so it is just about as far from anywhere to Austin with the exception of a few places. These two want to bring the championships down to the Valley where say a team from Dallas makes the state tourney. Instead of about a 3 hour drive to Austin they would have to make a 8 hour (car ride) but they will be taking a bus so lets say 12 hour 500 plus mile trip to Brownsville if these two get there way. They talk about it is a strain on school districts to drive to Austin. what about the small 1A school in the panhandle that would have to drive 900 miles to brownsville that would take two days to get there and two back. So this small school has to pay for two extra nights of lodging cause two people from Brownsville want to be lazy and not drive anywhere. If this passes I will be at a loss for words.
