1. Definately a bad loss for the Tigers.  Several areas the Tigers could have done better at to win the game.  First make more free throws.  Not sure what the count was but we missed way too many. Second too many easy buckets for Lee.  Tigers going for steal and not rotating back on defense fast enough.  Third too many missed layups and short shots.  Some of these were football players who haven't quite found there shot yet. Fourth and probably the most costly tonight were getting 2 technicals after foul calls. This alone cost us at least 5 or 6 points.  We went up by 2 in the fourth qtr get a foul call and a T,  they make 3 of 4 free throws and score on the possesion putting us back down by 5.  That is innexcusable.  These are all areas the Tigers should have controlled and got the win.  One area not controllable was the foul situation with Jordan Holmes.  He definately didn't have 4 fouls at half time but that is what the official book said.  Therefore he didn't get to play in the second half until about midway through the fourth quarter.  We have to adjust to officials calls.  We had Dante Wilson and Zayon Jackson both foul out fairly early in the fourth.  That was costly. To tell you how bad the book keeping was  when Zayon fouled out he continue to play for a possesion or two before officials were notified that he had fouled out. We also played the last few minutes with 3 or 4 players with 4 fouls which limited that Tiger defense which could have pulled this one out. With that said all of these areas but one are areas that we have to do better.  We will be fine once these players adjust to being back on the court together but just need to work together as a team and improve in these areas.
2. Wilson gets a foul and his second tech of the game  Tigers trail 70-66
3. Bookkeeper is horrible zay fouls continues to play Wilson is fouled goes to line and coach gets told Zay fouled out on the earlier foul
4. TIgers cut it to 6. Holmes hasn't played at all im second half.  He didnot have 4 fouls callef on him in the first half.  He should have maybe three at the most.  Tigers trail 58,51 after three
5. Holmes has yet to play this half.  Books say he has 4 fouls which doesn't seemwyq right.
6. 52-44 3:53 left in third delay as refs look at books
7. #10 for Lee making every three he sees 51-37
8. Tigers fell behind by as many as 16 before getting a little groove on defense.  If they can get that going in the second half they will be fine.
9.
Looks like it's going to take a while for the Tigers to gel. Could be because they're facing a 5A team on the road also.
Actually Lee is a 4a team who has only one win. tigers trail 39,25
10. Tigers lead 16-10 and watching the speed of this second team all football players,  although a little rusty, all I can say is .....THEY'RE BAAACK!!
11. One of the comments from the announcers in this game sticks with me.  I have heard it somewhere before, where the Tigers lost in the playoffs.  "This was the best game we've played all year."
12. Yes we lost to them, but not too disappointed in that.  They just got by us without 3/4 of ourvarsity.  I know they are missing 3.  Its ok we may get a chance at them next weekend and if not in a couple of weeks they get to come to Silsbee.    ;D  ;D
13. Thanks for those comments as well.  Now only if we could meet on the basketball court,  you could really see how that speed canbe used.. :D
14. Looks like this was a real good tournament this year.  Most of the games appear to have been good ones, not many lopsided scores.  And now my JV Silsbee team has beat both Central and Memorial so neither one of a couple people on here have any room to harrass each other on that point.
15.
that 2nd qtr was the knocker.
Most definately.
16. Just want to congratulate Carthage on the win last night.  You were definitely the better team last night.  The size difference on the line on both sides of the ball was the big difference.  We had no answer for your running game.  Maybe if we could have connected on a few of those passes in the first half(one of which would have been a td),  we might have been able to establish a little better running game and at least run some time off the clock giving our defense a rest and preventing that last score. Then we might have had some chance to pull it out or at least make it real interesting.  With that offensive line,  we needed to force you into a passing game and hope our secondary could make some plays.  With that said,  I have to say with all that size and the yards the rb s gained,  I was most impressed with your QB,  he was very poised and made good decisions.  He gave the appearance of a good college qb running the offense.  Good luck the rest of the way. I would also like to congratulate my Tigers.  You had a great year.  I don't know if many people really expected you to make it anywhere near this far.  To the seniors, thanks for the memories.  To those returning next year,  its time to work even harder to get back here next year and try to go farther.
17. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family.  I just saw the story on kfdm.com,  I recognise his face from many Tiger games.  He will be missed.
18. He was hurt the tigers last possession. He walked off not sure what was wrong. And I have made the statement about him being better than Johnson earlier in the year.
19. Nice to see this group with mostly newcomers pull out these games.
20. How did the Tigers look in this one? They took a big lead and hung on...what happened for the lead to dwindle?
