Have you been reading the threads. This doesn't even need to be asked. Calvin has over 900 yes in the last 3 games alone. If I remember right someone stated Draper missed a couple games and had over 100 in each of his last three games maybe somewhere around 450 in those 3 plus whatever he had in the first 2. Calvin has way more yards but both are the big parts of their respective offenses

I like this suggestion, I made the latter part of it earlier this year concerning a certain twitter incident. I wish I would have thought to let the player make a choice like this.

Like was said previously we live in a video society these days. You can't walk out your door without the threat of being taped, and a large percentage of that taping is done by kids. So if you do the action these days you have to be prepared to be taped and ridiculed and pay the price. And by high school age you are very aware of this. Sure it was a childish mistake but a slap on the wrist does nothing.

Whether the player was hurt or not, whether it was seen or not, whether it was in retaliation or not.......... none of these things should matter! I haven't looked at the video but if it is as obvious as has been stated then this player should be punished severely. Yes even the rest of the season or maybe even all year. Not only is the action stupid and deplorable, it was done while representing his school and community. The problem today is we too often want to take the it was only one time attitude. That's why kids don't learn from these actions they think they will or they actually only get a slap in the wrist for them. Sure I would hate to see a student lose their year for such an act but these acts must have severe consequences.

Remembering Smith, just brings to mind Darrel MacArthur and Anthony Allen. Those three lead their teams every year and there were some battles between them.

How many of those teams in that district feel they owe the Mustangs payback for a past loss??

I like the 2 poll setup myself. I can see 3 polls getting more attention for some of the smaller schools in those two polls. Maybe that would encourage some more people from those schools to post.

Look for the Tiger defense to make a statement in this one too much speed . While the offense keeps rolling.

Pool play is the answer but the excuse errr reason given against it last year I believe was it would be too many games. Definately more inviting for Coaches.

I hope you are right about my Tigers but that first round will be a tell all matched up with that tough district we have to face. Looking at the standings that were posted last week, the winner of our district would have to face Carthage in the first round, granted that may change.

We are still waiting on that predicted HF state championship!!!

Officiating is a big complaint almost anywhere!!(especially when you don't win)

Can't really argue with those rankings from our standpoint. Defending state champs with lots back on top and then us... Hopefully we will prove to be on the top at the end of the year!! one question where is HJ.....they get moved to that district and Huffman is ranked and they aren't....they will have something to prove!!

I remember him very well. I was still in high school and remember watching the news after we played Kirbyville. One of the highlights was Butch breaking through the line and getting into the secondary. All Butch had between himself and the goal line was our safety. All he had to do was through a fake one way and go around the safety to the end zone. It looked on the highlight like he looked at the safety and smiled and just ran right over him without slowing down. That was a play that I didn't let that safety forget.

May be by Calvins shoulder is still lingering at least from the lcm game.
