Ok have seen the same play look almost the same and be a successful onside kick but maybe there was no contact.

To open the second half tonight Livingston tried the onside kick I have seen a few times lately. The kicked the ball high and wide to the front line. The Livingston player ran and caught the ball possibly running into the raider player. Flags flew and they ended up calling illegal touching gave the ball to Lumberton along with 15 yds from the 50. Now I know if he touched the ball before 10 yds it's a penalty rekick or take over on the spot. But where does the 15 yds come from. And in a play like that are you allowed to contact the receiver.

Interesting question about e legality. I don't know the answer but wouldn't think it would be illegal just because playing is a privilege if it is part of team rules and the school district doesn't say otherwise, I would feel if you don't follow the rule you don't play.

LaVega is region 4, all the other 3 you mention are in region 3.

Not bringing it up like just saying both teams in those sports are that far ahead of the rest of the district. Not really good to have that kind of competition before the playoffs.

I just got the opportunity to watch this game online. Although I couldn't see when players cramped or anything I did notice a time or two when certain players were out for a while. What I did see was a lack of energy on the most part from my Tigers in the second half. Giving up way too many wide open shots. And getting sloppy with the ball as WC turned up the pressure. If we were just playing for a win, I would have liked to see us eat some time off the clock in that second half on the offensive end. I am sure during the season when we have an inside presence that will occur but right now the coaches are doing more evaluating than being overly concerned with winning. I know the players wanted to win and should have with that big lead but it was definitely a learning experience.
