I've been there in those same shoes......its usually the day after that they will listen to you when their head is cleared. I told mine to get back up and shake the dust off and give your best again the next time. Success comes from failure if you learn from it. I believe sports helps prepare you for life. Things sometimes just dont go your way but you have press on with a good attitude...........old coach buddy of mine had a saying.(sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and sometimes you run into a buzz saw)....lol

Before the last realignment there were only three schools in 3A that didn't play fb....I think it is seven now. Not sure why.......there are lots of schools in 1A and 2A that dont play fb......but all schools play basketball......I thought we were in Texas... ;D

Saw where the basketball and football players were fighting each other.......several players from both teams were beat up.......wonder if the UOS made a difference?....lol

I think some schools would fare better than others in this transistion.......Not sure how Ponder and Krum wll be in fb. These schools make their living on fundamentals on the court while they may not have the athletes to do well in football...........

What are you talking about Dove...sour lake has many attractions....Our secret to great consistant basketball lies within the secret mineral water just like the old day's they flocked to sour lake, the birth place of Texaco for what is in the water. That and the home movie theatre in my living room where the movie and popcorn are always free. It is BYOB though. You just cant beat a deal like that...oh by the way the next feature is the 2007 state championship game. The next few features of the following years after that finishing up with this years 7th state championship tournament appearances. Hardin - Jefferson-Sour Lake, Sounds like three towns combined. So when you play someone its like three against one.....no wonder its hard to win there....
