  1. Hands down Chase McGallion is the best TRUE point guard in the district. I dont think that there is anyone that can compare. He played point alot last year as a freshmen and started this year. His handles and court vision set him aside as far as being a PG.

no i dont want a point on my team that gets mad when somebody gets up in his face a little bit and starts makin bad decisions... i'll keep my point pls never say somethin like that again about an overated soph. who's town is tryin to make look good because they're desperate and dont wanna admitt that spurger basketball is goin down the drain!!!!!!

CALLING OUT The_Gladiator:  If Spurger basketball is going down the drain!!!!!! Then answer this question. When will Evadale ever get out of the drain??????

This only pretains to The_Gladiator, nothing against Evadale or their players & that's the truth

The Pirates should have proven to the The_Gladiator in Evadale tonight, that they are not going down the drain and can overcome bumps in the court

    Where is The_Gladiator??????????????????????????????

  3. The Rebels have taken care of business at home so far during district.

I understand that one or two players for Spurger are out due to injuries, so I would have to say that the Rebels chances are pretty good.

The player situation at Spurger is such that the JV boys game has been cancelled because the Pirates only had 5 players on the team and one of them got hurt. With the Spurger forfit the JV Rebels are now 21-1 on the season.

I believe that the Rebels will win tonight by 10!

HUM!!!!! Rebel Yeller looks like u was wrong, 2 starters was out and will be out until ( MRI and further test ) are done?????????

And them pirates still took the "W". JV player Shain Rawls #00, which should have been playing varsity ball all season, but hasn't do to his choice, has finally stepped up, when his long time playing buddies were injured within 5 sec. in the High Island game.  He is doing a he-- of a job. All the Pirates have stepped it up since they lost their teammates do to injuries & the fans are very proud of them. Keep it up Spurger, u still have 5 more games to coomplete district play & u never know what could happen, so keep bringing ur A-game everytime you hit the floor.

Keep in mind that this stupidity comming out of gladiator who all ready got it handed to him by this soph guard and his team. And i am sure if this young man was not injured gladiator would be back on here after the next a$$ whipping saying Spurger basketball is going down hill.Gladiator i'm sorry to say but the truth hurts,You personaly are not good enough to bring water to this POINT GUARD from Spurger.
  5. I have seen Copeland play alot over the years and he plays against defenses designed to stop him every week and consistantly beats the defense. He doesn't have alot of help so the Oilers go as he goes. This district isn't real deep this year in quality players and Copeland is hands down the best 25-A has to offer. In time the Whittacre kid will be a game changer and Elliott from HD can do it now when the shots are falling behind the arc.I haven't seen any McKinney,Phillip Whittacre or JT Sheffield type players this year other than Copeland.JMO

I dont know what you mean about the district being not as deep in good players because the youngest whittaker is averaging more blocks and pts than his brother. The kid from SP droped 32pts copeland is copeland and Blankenship had 28 against SP. Everyone has been playing better for evadale. The Talent is there trust me. Elliot can shoot but he doesnt seemed to be the game changer that you say he is but he can shoot. I think there are 2-3 player better than elliot.

I would like to see who you would start on a team out of all the player in the district be position.

    PG ?

    SG ?

    SF ?

    PF ?

    C  ?

    PG-FELIX JONES (SP)

    SG-DANIEL BLANKENSHIP (SPURGER)

    SF-SAM ELLIOTT (HD)

    PF-TYLER COPELAND (WH)

    C-GEORGE WHITTAKER (SPURGER)

Completely disagree w/ the PG position, Chase McGallion by far has better handles and sees the whole floor better than "ANY" guard in the district. He may only give 10pts. a game, but he will give u double digit-plus in assist per game, w/ little to no TO's.
  6. Nitro does have a point ;D

Jones for Sabine was the man he light it up for 32.(2 years of varsity)

Wise one-You tell me this kid going to be dropping 64 next year when he is more experience ;)

what are u talking bout???? Is he avg. 32 pts. a game/every game, "NO!"

Wasn't saying the kid avg that much...it was an hyperbole

But come on now the sharks win and the best thing that can be said is its not a good sign for the Sharks(since when did winning become a bad sign)...I'm not taking anything away from Spurger but when it comes to experience it easy to see Spurger has it over Sabine...

The fact is Sabine was better than Spurger that night and it was shown!

Spurger yall are a great team,i wish yall best.Nothing but respect to your school no matter the sport.

Not the biggest Shark fan but i hope the Sharks sweep this district.

Not the biggest Shark fan??? That's all I have seen u post on, don't think theirs "No Truth" in this statement, and what is hyperbole???

Good luck to the Sharks in WH, they will need it.  I think the Sharks will get the same treatment that the Pirates did in Nederland.

    A royal ********

  7. Calling out all the Shark players on this post, how many games have ya'll played in Nederland?

According to the Shark schedule on this site, their r only 2 games that are showig as home games & they r Deweyville by 1 & Chester by 15, were these home games played in Nederland or have their been anymore?

See the sharks in Nederland on 1-16 8)
