You people try too hard to not step on toes, WO-S wins this game hands down barring anything ridiculous from outer space, that is just my opinion. Either way both teams will have good years, both should/could win district titles. WO-S skill people are in place, maybe better than 2000 and thats saying alot. Week 0 is hard to judge in high school but WO-S is going to be hard to handle. Don't slam me if WO-S loses to Nederland, this could very well happen but my early money is on the Stangs. Talk to me.

Good posts, Hypolite did have trouble with the longer passes but I hear that is going to be much better this year. If the guy had a weakness that was it, he should be much improved, plus he can afford some near misses, the guys going to get em are awesome and will make up for some of those errant throws.

That we are indeed better than Nederland.

I believe this Michael guy from WB is the man, Garrett however will do big things for the 'Stangs. I've learned my lesson, all I ever heard about years back was Chip Ambres, and then I got to see him play as a senior, the best I've ever seen in person, and still is so this day. Never got to see Vince Young, but I did see Reggie McNeal and others, Ambres is the best I've seen. My favorite tho is still Tremaine Lewis from WO-S, (87-88), there were better ones but this guy was a winner and the refrigerant running through his veins didn't hurt either. He got it done.

I remember this, this is ridiculous a team from lower classification doing this. Some folks thought this team was the best in the state bar none. I have a hunch this years WOS team will be one to remember, hide and watch.

2000 WO-S/Calallen without question.

A lot of great games for sure but WOS/Nederland should be awesome. This game may tell us a lot and as always will be well played and coached. The X Man is back.

Every game in the area is being anticipated. Jasper-Gilmer and WO-S-Nederland should be good ones. If you've followed high school football for very long you realize that the first couple of weeks are very hard to predict. Some teams are slow starters, some overranked, some underranked but that is what makes it so interesting.

I don't know, they really don't lose enough for me to say. I do quit watching the 'Stros for a few days when they lose three straight to the Pirates, just out of frustration but I'm still a fan.

I don't recall any adjustments Dayton made. It was like two different games. Dayton could not stop WO-S in the second half. I could see however how Dayton did so well last year, they had some talent. Emotions were also running high as two players were ejected.

Loaded don't touch it. These people are busting at the seams. Possibly more skilled than 2000 team. And, names you haven't heard of will pop up and be common knowledge by October. Barring a level 7 or 8 hurricane, these folks could run the table. It will be interesting.

WO-S by 12, unless they have a kicker, then by 14. Nothing against Nederland, they should be good and will do well but this WO-S team should be loaded, probably one of the best 3 or 4 teams in 3A.

I've got 3 WO-S games in this order. 2000- WO-S / Calallen -- This was a rouser on a rug from play one. I agree Calallen had maybe the best running game I've ever seen. 1987- WO-S / Kerrville Tivy -- Score tied midway thru 3rd quarter 7-7, Tivy on WO-S 2 yard line 4th down and one, Q. Tezeno busts thru for 4 yard loss tackle. WO-S takes over from there. 1987 - WO-S 3 Jasper 0.

WO-S 2008 should be something to watch. This group will be very fast, very talented and have a chance to be very good. Nederland has some questions but will be fine. Too early for a prediction, catch me in August.

I've aways liked Neumann, If he goes it will be LaMarque's gain and Nederland's loss.

No doubt Giddings missed their QB last week, but that game is on a tape sitting on a shelf somewhere and WO-S is concentrating on the task at hand. WO-S was also unable to do some things they like to do last week with their RB out. I'll call that one a wash. LaVega should be an interesting challenge, WO-S will be the best team they've faced this year. I think WO-S is a little stronger, if you look at the complete package top to bottom, and they should advance if they play Mustang football. I'm done with this.

Might as well, better'n bein an ole undergarment in Silsbee I guess.

Thanks 88, good luck to the Raiders this week. I firmly believe Lumberton will put some hair on the wall, LaMarque just can't grasp this yet. I also like WO-S by 11, whatever roster Giddings uses.

Whatever percent he is at the start of the game will be the peak number, after WO-S throws out some hurt that number will go down I promise you.

Just wondering what happened to LaMarque in the two late losses? Were there injuries or did they just meet someone better. Unusual because they were rolling along pretty good for a while. By, the way, I'm back.
