Kirbyville has a good 2A football team and should go deep in the playoffs, I just hope the players don't read and believe this poll, that's really funny stuff.

Are some of these HF people actually considering a possible victory? They need to worry about that 3rd playoff spot, which is not a lock by any means. This Friday's game is already over, they will be used like mops and put in the storage closet. I am not trying to be a wise guy, just being realistic.

I think LM beat us with Kendall in '93 or '94. All I know is, those CEKing games sent me home in shock. But those guys played pretty good football at that time, run the ball, good blocking and pass when needed, kinda of frustrating to watch actually.

I know Lamarque beat a Kendall Cleveland team on the way to the title, I don't knowabout C.E.King. Kendall scored on about a 50 yard run against LaMarque and got called back, broke our backs because the game was pretty close and LM had a "D" from hell.

I agree, Silsbee has too many athletes year in and year out to be taken lightly. If the stangs don't come ready they will be in for a possible upset. I believe this has already been covered by the coaches, this will probably be the stangs toughest test in district, it just happens to be the first one.

WO-S did win Region 3 in 2005 and lost to the eventual state champions in the semi-finals. I also don't believe WO-S has finished under their ranking except possibly in their first year in 3A. You are also saying if you have never been to the semis or the finals you should not be ranked #1. No hard feelings, but you talk like a man with a wooden neck.

I wouldn't call it cocky, maybe more of a swagger which they have definately earned. They don't get it from reading the print but from watching their films. This is more 3A downlow childishness anyway. What about these injuries from the BR game, anything serious, and how is Haynes doing?

Silsbee seems to always hold their own against the 'Stangs but don't look for upset this week. WO-S by 2 touchdowns. When this Mustang team does hit it's stride, whether it's this week or in 3 weeks it is over, no stopping them before Christmas, I promise you.

Passed by their practice today, looks like they are ready to put some hair on the wall.

West Brook should win because they have to, they would never live down losing to a 3A school as a powerhouse 5A school even if it is WO-S. But should aint got nothing to do with it, I'd take WO-S 48-16.

Rykerx, what I meant was WO-S is always outnumbered, I just don't think Kville can play with them. Kville has a great team and I will be pulling for them and Newton, whoever is in this area. I think this will be a good game for both teams. No shame for either team if they lose. I've seen WO-S play, they are a track team in football uniforms, more talented than the 2000 team, that is saying alot.

Wherever this storm makes landfall the inland track is also critical. As you know these things don't make landfall and disappear, during Rita we took refuge north to Lufkin,,not far enough folks, not near far enough.

Nike09, Kirbyville will face the best secondary they'll face all year this week if they play, and that includes if they go to week 16, which I doubt. If you think WO-S has no D-1 candidates you need to get newspaper or a program. Kville will do well this year, they are just not on a level with WO-S I promise you.

You get state ranked, you beat an overanked Jasper team that got beat by a overranked Gilmer team and now you can play with WO-S, bull jive, I heard the same stuff last year, and WO-S is better than last year, go to a game Scooter, or if you've already been to one keep your eyes open. I swear if this aint amateur hour I dont know what is.

This thread has gotten out of hand, you Kville people are suffering from the "we are ranked" syndrome. Kirbyville is a good 2A school, WO-S is a very good 3A school. WO-S would use Kville like a mop I promise you, but fortunately for you this game will not be played. I don't know if that is the reason for all this nonsense or what but Kirbyville is being saved by a hurricane. Why all of a sudden do the wildcats think they are on the same plane as the Mustangs?
