  1. Still too early to tell but I like what's going on with PN-G right now. I always liked the guys except when they were playing WO-S. Some of us are from the era when if you wanted to root for someone in December it was PN-G or be somewhere else. I haven't seen them in person but like what I'm hearing and reading. Good luck to the Tribe, if they are not back which I think they are, it won't be long.
  2. I hope Vidor doesn't put too much stock in beating WO-S in a scrimmage, if they play tonite WO-S win s by double digits, sorry this doesn't have a happy ending. Saw Vidor play WO-S, if you could call them WO-S, and saw LC-M play WO-S, the real WO-S, and LC-M gives the Pirates maybe too much to handle. It's too early right now, but put your Dave Campbell's down and come back to reality. I don't care if you've got 22 starters coming back you still got it to do.
  3. Mount Belvieu, Tx (AP) In a feat worthy of "Modern Marvels", the entire Barbers Hill homeside bleacher assembly, including over 2,000 weeping, seated fans, were air-lifted to Los Angeles where their tears snuffed out some previously out-of-control wildfires in the area. The monumental lift occurred at halftime of the Barbers Hill/Lumberton game with the Raiders clinging on to a 48-0 lead. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was in Sacromento at the time, heard about the gargantuan effort while listening to West Orange-Stark blow out Little Cypress-Mauriceville on a KOGT satellite feed. Despite some minor flash flooding in lower lying areas and ravines and such, the Governor had nothing but praise for the fans saying, "I was checking out the 'Stangs and Stelly was giving updates, so I knew they were getting their tails kicked, yet here they are." After all was secured the Eagle fans were immediately lifted back home and set in place just in time to see the Raiders score on a fake field goal on the last play of the game in their 82-0 win.
  4. meanjoe, you are the man.
  5. I don't see LC-M making mistakes like that either, their QB will not have the time to throw an interception. I'm serious.
  6. If I'm a Nederland fan I feel pretty good. They have some atheletes, and they are intense. Held their own against a very athletic club. They will not have 7 or so turnovers every week, that's hard on a defense. Main thing is the QB is alright, fine young man deserves a break. I still believe they make the second season.
  7. Vidor doesn't have to pass, they just say here it is, stop it.
  8. Aint heard nothing from OzensWhiniest, where's he at?
  9. WO-S 55 LC-M 14
  10. People, what I saw last night you've got 4 D-1 players at receiver, this could get rediculous if all of this comes together.
  11. Look for a typical Nederland / WO-S game, clean and hardfought. Two great programs we will be following in post season. Good luck, no injuries.
  12. Nederland putting up 38 against WO-S at home? How long have you been overseas?
  13. Might get some drying out tomorrow, hopefully.
  14. FritoBandito, do you think you can use some of your pull to get me Howdy Doody's autograph.
  15. West Orange-Stark 26 Nederland 14 You are not allowed to copy, rebroadcast or win moneys on this prediction.
  16. This is nothing against Nederland who is playoff bound, possible district title, they just don't win this game. As for the injuries, they happen and will continue to happen, need to worry about the uninjured and what they are going to do, can't do nothing about the other. Some of this stuff I'm reading belongs on downlow, that is not a compliment.
  17. Are you people drinking anti-freeze or brake fluid, Stark wins this game. I thought I was reading the funny papers for a minute. Forget whatever you read or hear on injuries, it's all over-hyped. I'm not scared to step on anyones toes and will tell it like it is, WO-S wins by double digits. If you're scared, say you're scared.
  18. Do yall let professionals participate? If you do then I'm in.
  19. Just kidding about the standing room only, trying to get some takers. Sometimes you have to have your own line of BS to survive on this board.
  20. Several valid points '87, and that goes to some of the playoff games in the past few years. Some of these teams that beat WO-S in the playoffs recently have had uninterupted seasons. The 'Stangs have been detoured during the last five years by storms that some of their opponents only saw on The Weather Channel. That is not an excuse, it's a natural fact. Whether or not if it was a factor may never be known. The Silsbee/WO-S game is getting a lot of hype and will continue to do so mainly because Silsbee is getting some ink, and well deserved. I don't foresee the Tigers upsetting the Mustangs but I'm keeping a tight rein due to the way the Tigers have a history of playing the 'Stangs tough, but still, don't be surprised if the hype is greater than the game itself.
  21. Both teams can only benefit from this one. Two quality, well coached programs going at it early. We expect possibly standing room only.
  22. Yes, this could get interesting in a hurry.
  23. If the 'Dogs could do well in this one it could blueprint a successful season, their pre-season is not a lethal injection but one of them chairs they plug in, forget what they call 'em.
  24. A month ago I was picking WO-S handily over the Tigers but I am adjusting my spread to a tighter game, (we can do that you know). The Tigers seem to be getting closer and should have ended the 'Stangs streak last year but that did not happen. Don't get me wrong, I still feel WO-S will pull it out, even in Silsbee. Maybe both teams can make a run in the playoffs, we'll see, there's a lot of talent on these two squads. PS: I still think we stomp Nederland, not gonna change that one.
  25. If Jasper goes back to smash-mouth it could be difficult for Gilmer to put up the ridiculous numbers, but, the 'Dogs have to move the chains. Good luck to Jasper, looking forward to this one.
