This thread has gotten out of hand, you Kville people are suffering from the "we are ranked" syndrome. Kirbyville is a good 2A school, WO-S is a very good 3A school. WO-S would use Kville like a mop I promise you, but fortunately for you this game will not be played. What are you a clown? I picked WO-S a month ago hands down against Nederland and got hammered by some amateurs about being so bold. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. WO-S wins by 21. These people are for real. Twenty-six silver helmets, but they are all bad to the bone.

I don't know, that's just the way I see it. If Nederland can get a reasonable defense they'll be ok. I cant wait to see the numbers this receiver and QB put up. I saw at least two plays that had excellent coverage but this guy comes up with the ball. There are others like him but it's a short list.

Don't throw in the towels yet. Nederland lost to a talented football team Friday nite and may not see a better one for a while, they definately won't see a better secondary. They have some weapons with the QB and receivers (one all-state for sure). Also will be getting some key players back soon and get everyone in the right spots. Wait a few weeks before you start shoveling the dirt.

I love the way this guy runs, typical West Orange-Stark fabric, I think he missed the LaVega game, we could have used him, we might still be playing. Stay healthy guys, there aint enough of you to shake a stick at.

I thought the pass defense was very good, tight coverage all night. The QB/receiver combo for Nederland is going to put up some numbers this year, thats a fact. Overall a well played 1st game, few penalties and no red zone brain freezes. Hopefully we get to play next week.

I was impressed by the way both teams played, I think Nederland had 1 penalty and WO-S 2. WO-S didn't self destruct in the red zone. #9 was on Cardenas like a cheap suit all nite, the kid made his catches but he's going to because he is a stud, #9 may be the only man all year to cover him man to man. I didn't see him run past, then around the guy on the TD like someone said, it was blown coverage all the way, no one within 10 yards of the man. #21 and #3 for the Dogs are both bad to the bone and they will be ok, they had some starters out who will be back, Stangs also missing a starter or two, which is not good, I think I saw 25 silver helmets on the sideline before kickoff, but they can all play.

I like that WO-S has scheduled a real test in a game like scrimmage. They may not see many, if any, teams of this caliber in the regular season. Dayton should also benefit and the starters will see a lot of action. Who wins is anybody's guess, this is for bragging rights and preseason hype anyway.
