Broadcast (TV) still is down for some reason. 

Coach will have Yoakum prepared to ground and pound and use the clock to his advantage. It will be very simple: EC stops the run and gets off the field on 3rd downs it will be an easy win. If Yoakum gets momentum in the run game and finds a weakness in a certain area of the line, it will be a very close game. 

With that said, EC is better prepared to stop the run than a potent passing attack imo. EC by 21.

Looks like they have the secondary problems resolved. That's what I was worried about earlier this season. 

I do believe they are getting better by the week and should peak at the right time. As long as everybody stays healthy, they should have a good run this year. Fun team to watch, for sure.

I've watched enough HS football as have a lot of folks on this board to know when you see speed. 

Every game I've watched this year EC looked to have the fastest 2 kids on the field and probably 7 or 8 of the fastest 10.  

Thanks Beaumont and thanks to the rest of SETX for being so bad to make EC look so good. I'm sure that's what it is.

I really believe EC can compete with any school out there. The secondary has had some mental lapses in a few games, but are improving. But the bottom line is SPEED. And EC has it in spades! And at the 3A level, a well disciplined team, combined with an average defense, with lots of SPEED... and you have yourself a deep run in the playoffs. 

Jasper is one of the top 4A schools in state with over twice the enrollment than Newton. Newton will be just fine once they get back to a little normalcy and play schools closer to their size. 

I sure wish Silsbee and Jasper could schedule a rematch though!
