  9. I just absolutely hate when you get to see players like #66 (Lobos Center). That is an embarrassment to their entire program....and I can assure you, he didnt just start that today. Anyone who watched knows exactly what I'm talking about. Anyway, Great job WB! You made our area proud!!
  10. Wow!!! This program (#1 in the NATION, mind you) is headed to State (once again) and your comment is that Newton's Offensive scheme is a joke???? Please tell us how you would improve this team's season with all your wisdom... LOVE to hear your technical breakdown of all our offensive flaws....The game I saw showed a very disciplined, prepared and well coached bunch of athletes from EB who fought it out to the last second. Hats off to all those guys....And Merry Christmas to you sir. There's certainly an NFL team in need of a consultant for the Superbowl...
  11. Well bud, congrats. Y'all had a good one tonight!
  12. I promise....if I'm on the other end of this next year in Gilmer.....would ya at least buy me a burger at the concession stand? LOL!
  13. Yes sir...win or lose...every Friday night is a lesson...and y'all have a coaching staff that will take care of business, make the moves and get y'all deep. Just like those ol Mighty Mustangs....y'all will make a run! Good luck and stay healthy!!
  14. Just ask kicker 2.0 and his Mighty Mustang crew.....everyone had to talk them off the ledge after we left Dan Hooks stadium a couple weeks ago.....trust me. It has nothing to do with your team. (Kicker 2.0 .......it's all in good fun, bud. Y'all are getting your affairs in order for District...(that's when it matters.) You'll have another good run this year. Good luck and stay healthy! Nothing but the best for the "Fruit City"
  15. No disrespect intended by my post lostaussie... but our kids and coaches are unbelievable. I know y'all have a strong winning tradition as well in Gilmer and I certainly have respect for your entire program.
  16. 37-15 Newton at the Half.....PURPLE REIGN!!!!!!!
  17. Please don't mistake all the resources that BH has their ability to pay the highest salary in the state as a good, quality program with the best coaching. No doubt those kids work their tails off...my intent is not to aim this at the kids. But it takes much more than money to build a successful program.
  18. Come On Man.... Yeah, Newton is definitely unbelievable. But please don't discount the hours the coaching staff has, and does put in to prepare these kids week in and week out to set them up for success. (For many years) Talented athletes don't build and sustain programs. I agree that gene pool is important, also long tenured coaching that includes the youngsters, community support and a strong tradition of value placed on the success of the athletic program. The "hot bed" areas of talent always draws the best coaches and the support of the community and the school keep them. IMO. PURPLE REIGN!!!!!!
  19. Prayers from the Deweyville Pirates go out to Mr. Keyshawn Adams and the Kountze Lions. Great job rallying your troops through so much adversity Coach Joubert and staff. Best team we played so far!
  20. Congrats guys! In a sloppy mud bowl...the team that catches the most breaks wins. Not taking anything from your team they played well. Very well coached. Great job y'all. Both teams know how that played out. Good luck in district Rebs
