I agree with Rusted on Vidors stadium, it looks more like a poor 1a schools facilities. It's ashamed considering they used to be 5a and the parking there is atrocious. Lumberton has a great stadium if you ask me, where else can you walk the entire length of the sideline along the fence, no where that I know of. All Lumberton needs in my opinion is a new field house where the exercise equipment, training rooms and the locker rooms are in the same building. Although, I would go with another steel building though, as those are easier to tear down and replace. We could also use a new and better scoreboard. The turf, unless EVERYONE else is going artificial should remain like it is. I would almost bet that the next bond issue that comes up will have something in it for new athletic facilities. Anyone else build a new stadium should follow L-Towns example, raise the stands to about 4-1/2 or 5 feet high and put a sidewalk the entire length of the field in front of the stands. there's nothing better than watching a game by following your team up and down the field.

While most schools kick butt in Basketball in the off season, L-Town has one of the best soccer programs in the state.

I say Vidor will take a solid 3rd place in district. Central and Livingston will be fighting it out for 2nd with the loser actually ending up in 4th and L-Town is gonna take it all.

All I know is, if I lose one single channel tomorrow with SomeTime Warner, Direct TV or Dish Network will be showing up at my house within a week. I get tired of paying so much for TV and not getting good service. I for one as a Lumberton fan think our coach is definitely one of the best. But, like a couple others have said, Coach Stowers reinvented his whole game plan after the year started and took his team 4 deep, he is WELL deserving of Coach of the Year. Shoot, he can even qualify as PNG's new AD/HC since he has a masters......... Lumberton doesn't have to win everything to keep me happy, just most everything....LOL

Try the Salt Lick in Driftwood...which I am sure someone on here has besides me! Yeah I did, it's good in spite of being 90 miles from nowhere, and of all things when my family and I went there, someone from Lumberton happened to show up. Go figure.
