  1. Over to the right hand side, vote for the best football player. [Hidden Content]
  2. You're right every ones entitled to a bad game. I don't think Everman had one. They just ran into an offense they couldn't contain. I was at the game and Everman looked very strong during the 1st quarter, a little less in the second and by the third they new it was over. But I guess you think they just happened to have their "bad game" in the semi's just like the year before right? And no, you couldn't of beaten Everman or Heath for that matter. Well McAdoo (Evermans QB) was hurt in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. So they werent at 100% of their offense. Take away the qb run threat, then it sure makes it easier to defend against.
  3. You have got to be kidding... You let Pine Tree score 27 on your defense. And you only expect us to score 28???? Dayton is allowing averaging allowing less than 20 pts to be scored on them a game. But you expect to almost triple that some how? Last year LT scored the most points on us. I think Lake Travis is the only team to score more than 40 points against us in the past few years. And believe me, you guys are no Lake Travis. I will take Dayton by 10 pts.
  4. [Hidden Content],football&urpath=,local, team Wow, I was looking over the people SS played. They let Pine Tree score 27 points against them... PINE TREE... wow. Thats bad. And let a mediocre 3A team score 20pts on them. SS is averaging letting teams score nearly 30 pts a game. Thats great news. Looks like this could be a high scoring game.
  5. Doubt it. We're averaging 40+ per game against GOOD opponents. Dayton is giving up an average of 16 against JV teams. We'll hang 50. To be fair, I think you have nailed Dayton's score. ;D To my knowledge Dayton has not played any JV teams. If I were a Sulphur Springs fan I would be thanking my lucky stars that the Everman QB got hurt in your last game. I am from Longview and I personally have seen SS get destroyed. Nothing special with SS in my opinion. You do have an exceptional QB and some receivers that catch the ball 90% of the time. Most 4A teams have a hard time defending against the spread offense so I am sure you absolutely crushed most teams you faced. Now you get to play another spread offensive team. I am going to have to side with Dayton on this. Did you see the Everman game? Doesn't sound like it. You're right about the Longview game. In fact, partial thanks to the Lobos for changing our season. [Hidden Content] The Bulldogs played without starting quarterback Marcus McAdoo for much of the second and third quarter after he went out with a right ankle sprain. Without him, the Bulldogs made three key mistakes. Everman was starting their 2nd string QB for most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The score when McAdoo (starting QB) was hurt was Everman 21-SS 7. I am not trying to take away the excitement of victory for you guys, just stating that when the Everman QB got hurt Everman was up by 14 and when the starter got back in there Everman was down 33-28. Sometimes things just shake out that way. And believe me, I know you guys were big underdogs going into that game. Dayton also has been underdogs it seems throughout the season so I would like to apologize for some of the Dayton fans that have been acting like idiots. If I had my choice of playing either an underdog that was silent or an underdog that was running its mouth, I would be a little intimidated by the quiet ones. Hmm... Good point. But injuries are part of the game.... Especially when they are caused by a punishing D. Very well put

  8. Well if anyone in 4A has a shot to beat Lake Travis, I would have to say Longview has the only shot. And its not really even a great shot. LT is definately going to give the Lobos all they can handle and more.
  9. Well being a Lobo I have personally seen the dismantling of the Wildcats earler this year. The Bronco's do have a shot at winning this. The Bronco's need to do a little homework and they have more than a legitimate shot at their first state title. Go Broncos
  10. Would it be tacky to stop when we get to Elgin and eat wearing our Broncos gear???
  11. Hey thanks for the help BabeRuth!! Well so far this is my favorite youtube moment. What a gutsy call to win your 4th round playoff game. Instead of play it safe, the coach decides to go for the win in overtime. Was listening on the radio and my wife said I jumped 3 feet in the air when they made the 2pt conversion. Looks like Saturday we are leaving Houston to drive over to Georgetown to watch Dayton play Kerrville at 2pm. Then after that game we are driving 3 hours north to Texas Stadium in Dallas to watch Longview play at 8. Talk about a long day!! But hopefully we will be in good spirits!!
