Sounds like the pussycats got scared...Grissom, Alvarez and Neece must be shaking their heads.
I’m hearing we picked up the Allen Eagles they offered more money than Newton, with all the coaches and money tied up in coaching all they could offer was a couple coupons for Dairy Queen and some Artisian Springs coupons
-
I would be willing to bet that over 3/4 of the times they met is because they were in the same district

I wonder if enough kids left Kirbyville that they would drop to 3a d2. They wouldn't have a choice then.
More than enough

I think we give Buna a game and wouldn’t be a bit surprised if we beat them. Now Coldspring I know nothing about other than they should be a 4a Division 2 school and they usually have some athletic kids and some size. Not saying we can beat them but we give them a game. Folks in Kirbyville have grown accustomed to 8-2 or 7-3 every year. This is a rebuilding year for us and probably next year also. Like Joel Embiid for the Sixers “ trust the process” our time will come.

That’s hard to imagine since KOUNTZE was only your 2nd win. The other was against a pathetic Palestine Westwood team. He will only have one more opportunity to do this after a victory (Warren).
Okay coach whatever you say.

Kountze wins big. They got too many athletes and speed

I have watched Buna and Kountze both play... Well, I watched Kountze in a scrimmage. I believe Kountze has more athletes and a better offense than Buna and Buna scored 24 on Trinity. I think Kountze will score 35+ and will probably give up 20-24 points. Give me Kountze 37- Trinity 22. Another big week for the district.
What does Buna look like? Trinity played them pretty close and they are pretty bad

How many points do we need to score to be in your top 10.
It’s not a matter of points it’s a matter of 10–14 other teams being better than you in class 3a division 1.

If Woodville puts up 60 will you say they are a top 10 team.
No I won’t and if I was Woodville fan the last thing I’d care about is whether or not I was in the top 10.

All I have to say is the Kirbyville supt. will not be leading the band to a victory celebration like he did Friday night during a 4 point win over KOUNTZE. My how times have changed in Wildcat land. Smh for numerous reasons.
He does that every week good luck this week coach

Kirbyville is much better than Warren. What I am saying is the score will be about the same. Woodville is amazing this season..Size, Speed, Athleticism, skill, coaching...
We will see but it won’t be 51-0 or as bad as they want I can assure you that. I’m thinking a couple touchdowns favorite not 7

week 2 in district play!!!
Buna - BYE
Kountze/Trinity - As of right now this will be the battle for 5th and 6th place. Could be a close game but I am thinking Kountze offense will be to much for Trinity. Now, will the Lion defense be able to make some stops and be respectable? Trinity is 0-5 but played a tough schedule. This could be the game that wakes them up and makes them compete for a playoff spot. I am going to say this, whichever team loses this game, will basically be OUT of the playoff picture.
Kountze- 41
Trinity - 22
Woodville/Kirbyville - Well, it is Woodville... Best bet for Kirbyville is to just make sure none of theri main players get hurt!! Seriously though, this will be just as bad as the Warren score.
Woodville- 51
Kirbyville - 0
Coldspring/Warren - Unless something weird happens, I am pretty sure Coldsprings takes care of this game pretty easily. I do not think Warren will be able o slow CS RB down one bit. Warren might get a lucky TD in this game, but not enough to compete with CS.
Coldspring - 43
Warren 6
You’ve lost your mind we are not Warren hand
-
In all honesty I just hope Kirbyville can keep it respectable. Woodville is the lead dog in this race this year. I think the Wildcats will put up a good fight regardless of the outcome. Good luck to both teams.

i wonder if there will be any payback for the dirty play by kirbyville last year?
New kids new coaches why any payback on kids that had nothing to do with it? I hope it's a good clean game with no injuries for either side. I don't see Woodville stooping that low , at least I hope not.

If that is the case and Woodville goes out in the second round it is time to clean house again. With the athletes Woodville has there is no excuse for a poor pass defense. Yoe rockdale Teague all are much weaker and will not make it more than 2 rounds Malakoff and Jefferson are the only ones in woodvilles way .
Yoe and Rockdale are both down this year. But something about Yoe when the playoffs start they are a whole new team.

Kirbyville will think Alvarez and Ford are in Woodville after this one.
I doubt that, can't even compare

Let's hear the predictions, thoughts and trash talking.

Kountze gave you guys the game imo. Way more mistakes
Kirbyville had 3 touchdowns called back and fumbled in Kountzes end zone once for a touchback.

Wow 3 rounds deep for Woodville sounds great. Next year will be the eagles year to possibly make it to the final game. This team is mainly juniors . The best is yet to come. I still believe they will be playing in round 4 but 3 rounds is good.
I count lots of seniors that start on this team. 3 round you run in to either Yoe, Malakoff or Teague depending on where they finish and Woodville wins the district

Teague got blown out by Madisonville, but yes, two of those teams (Yoe and Malakoff) are pretty good bets to beat Woodville. Still doesn't justify why you think Woodville isn't a top-10 team in 3AD1.
I would say top 20 but 3a Div 1 is loaded with good teams.

Madisonville is currently the #8 4AD2 team and Liberty was ranked in the top 10 until WE BEAT THEM.
I like Woodville and root for them when they are not playing my Wildcats. But brother 11 3 a is weak to say it nicely.

So name the teams in 3AD1 that you think would beat Woodville....
Teague, Malakoff, Whitney, Yoe just right off my head. That's just in region 3

4th round or better
Kirbyville and Newton No longer playing

What is cowardly? Do we not have the right to chose who we play? Is there a written law that says you must play Newton every year?
