i agree with spinks, give the man time. He works his ass for the program. He also wants to be here. Heck, he could have been a top ass. at kentucky, but choose Lamar. Just like they ran Deane off way to quick, they dont need to run Rock off until giving his fair share of time.

i doubt it since coach allowed the williamsons to play, without punishment. I also think Gooch played last year. So maybe these kids you speak of just are not that good. In basketball, sometimes shoots are needed to be made.

I think they need to keep going in side, not just penatrate and kick. #12 does do it well though. But #23 should have been feed the ball more late in the game. They need other to penatrate and kick it like #12, he cant do it all.

vj went straight baseball, and got a scholarship becuase of it, bret harris still plays 2 sports, football and soccer where in each he was a starter for 3 years. Teal never played basketball once in high school. I beat if u ask thoughs kids why they chose not to play it would be for there own reasons, not the coaches.

Coach Robertson has had both Williamson go and play football, and still they played and started basketball, from day one. It looks like it does not bother him.

dugat and powell both started the other day for dayton, and they played well. You have to give them credit. After playing a semi final football game, and then performing the next day on the court the way they did. Shows what kind of heart they have.

it looked to me that coach smith was doing a great job this year. Then he was unfortunate, and lost a few to grades. Hopefully it wont be long until he gets them back. Keep up the good work Coach.

I know there where 7 seniors on the team last year, and if all holds true there would be at least 10 seniors next year. So you do the math. The math to me looks like 07-08 group of seniors must not have been very good. I have watched games this year also, and it looks to me that the freshman is the best shooter on the team. Now that is a scary thought

yea, ur rt Coach English did not know what he was doing when he moved those two freshman up as starters. Heck all this time we thought English was a good coach, but instead he was just messing around the upper classmen.

two started  their 9th and 10 grade year, and the one senior started as a junior.

there is plenty of experience. Vidor has 3 returning starters. As far as the seniors, i am not sure. It seems like every other year they have a big group, and then a small group of seniors. Last year they had 6 on the team and if things hold true, they would have 10 seniors on the team next year. I know one kid failed, and then their senior pt quard quite once he came out after football. Alot of that had to due with his injuries from football

Point blank and simple.......he is just that good, that they are willing to take a chance on him. Of course when he gets there he will be competing agaist someone with egual talent, so he will either shape up, or ship out. The Tx. coaches will not allow him to keep that attitude. I look for them to correct it, and him to see plenty of min., starting next year.

no doubt they will get better as the season goes and the level of play comes back to them. what games where you talking about Ricthepic? I assume the ones at the ymbl, where they lost to Aldine 44-28, and new orleans walker by 40. Of course Aldine went on and won the whole tourney. In the ymbl vidor goes 1-2, while ozen goes 1-2. Vidor played the team that won it all.

i would take ozen, but give the coaching edge to hj staff

to become a good shooter you have to get out there and shoot, more than you ever could imagine. A coach can only help you so much, after that it is on the kids to work hard on his form.

you have to go with warren here. More seniors on the team, and i have to give the edge to warrens coach.
