Silsbee always has speed...they usually can run with us...not sure how the new Silsbee coach's system is going this year for the Tigers, maybe they're going through some growning pains? Hoping for a good game...WOS defense needs to stop the run and continue to get pressure on the opposing QBs, force those turnovers, and WOS kick returners hopefully continue to give the WOS offense the short field, get those points on the board often...jmo

BC will be fine...but they need to stop putting the ball on the ground so much...

WOS defense needs to stop the LCM run game, make them throw the ball, get turnovers....WOS offense needs to score early and often, put the pressure on LCM to come from behind...jmo

I thought Nederland had a great crowd, until the rains came. but i dont blame them for leaving...that rain was coming down pretty good...WOS fans left too...unfortunately it wasn't much of a game...i think if it would have been a closer scoring game, more people would have stayed...jmo...

I hope the WOS defense can get pressure early on the Ned QB, which can lead to some INTs and possibly points. I think special teams can be big for WOS too, get that short field or maybe take one back for a TD...Should be a good game...good luck to both teams...

both teams looked solid...good scrimmage...i think both teams are better now after playing each other...

maybe the problem isnt Lamar..maybe its the Sun Belt Conference, who doesnt see the good things adding Lamar to their conference would do...

not sure if the attendance would double...but i bet we would have a good crowd...and high schools play at reliant now..im sure two colleges could pay to rent reliant...heck..if we stay in the slc..i say move  the game between lamar and sam houston...or  the lamar sfa game to reliant...i think it would be fun  8)

it would be very beneficial...and fun too...i would definitely travel houston for that game..

ive said  many times,  i would love for Lamar to go FBS...but i havent heard anything from the university indicating they are wanting to move out of the southland conference.

glad to see the cards doing so well...be nice to win the conference this year  8)

I hope Lamar moves up too, UNLV...ur not alone in wanting lamar to move up..but obviously its not in the cards right now...i think whats worse than anything, is that football team has gotten off to a terrible start...I think the bigger question should be is Ray Woodard the right man for the job to make lamar football competitive?...i agree with you that we dont have to win first to move up..but if were not moving up..we dang sure better start winning more football games, or the attendance will continue to suffer..and i go to every home game and believe me, it is suffering.

just saw  the  video...didnt hear anywhere that lamar got an invite to the sun belt..

no one is angry at the young man for winning the smith award...he deserves it...but both sides? come on?....and we all know its not pee wee football...and as AAW said...glenn roberts had more rushing tds and more rushing yards for an example...sorry...but im just scratching my head on this one....

[/quote] im not hating my friend..i said  that montana quirante deserved the award..but  there are other players in this area that deserved a piece of that award as well....

ive lost all respect for the willy ray smith award...montana quirante is a great athlete and deserved to win one side of the ball award...but winning both sides is a bit much....who votes on this award?..i really would like to know...and im not saying anyone from wos should  have won..im just saying...there is more than one football player in this area that deserved the award..

hopefully 10-0 with a district championship..but anything can happen..so i wont be disappointed as long as the stangs make the playoffs... 8)

i think most fans would be happy with 8-4 and 9-3 records in any conference (southland or sunbelt)...but if LU wants to make the $$$..i think it would better to take an FBS conference invite, if we get one...

[/quote] No one is claiming to be in the same league as WOS when it comes to defense.  However, when comparing offenses, I will give Navasota a huge edge.  Navasota's defense is good enough to get the job done... BTW, 2 of those LM touchdowns came on Rattler turnovers. [/quote] i agree with u and give navasota the edge in offense...and just like u think the navasota defense is good enough to get the job done, which im sure they are, i think our offense is good enough to get the job done too...point being, like i said earlier, special teams could be huge in this game... 8)
