1. im very surprise with the reaction of some of our mustang fans...were are 3-3 on the year and 1-0 in district...so the sky is not falling...of course we are having offensive issues...but what everyone needs to understand is change is never easy...we lost a coach who had been at wos for 30 years...u dont just replace someone like that overnight...cornel thompson is a great coach and i beleive he is the right man for the job of the mustang head coach right now.. but he is not dan hooks...that era is over..wonderful memories of that era but its over and we have to move on. if we just keep living in the past we will never see in the present and  what we have to work on right now...coach hooks had some pretty first tough years at wos too..my parents tell me how when we went 3-7 in 83 everyone was ready to run coach hooks out of town..but he persevered and thank goodness the school district didnt get rid of him...also new OC, toby was a great offensive coordinator but he has moved on to another school...regardless of the circumstances as to why he left..he is not at wos anymore and thats the bottom line..we have to move on also... i think, IMO, that the mustangs are just going thru some growing pains with all the changes...its unfortunate but we have to go thru them..how we respond to the pressure is what will decide if we are going to continue to be great or just become like any ordinary football team out there...give cornel thompson a chance to build on whats already a great program and give him a chance to  leave his own mark of greatness that we can be proud of when we look back in the years to come.
2. hamshire has improved...i know their record doesnt indicate it..but they really came to play tonight....receivers #84 and #1 played great games for HF....and wos just looked out of sync the whole night...defense had oppurtunities to make at least 3 picks and dropped them all... offense cannot keep turning the ball over and expect to be successful...the longhorns made the plays that kept it close, got to give them credit...wos better wake up and start finding a way to be more focused in these ballgames.
3. i will end this..it was me booing actually...sorry  :P
4. i went and had a great time..will make all of the home games this year...great gameday atmosphere...and some good college football being played...so glad to have lamar close to home  8)
5. man all these coaches on here..lamar should just put a laptop on the sideline...and logon to setxsports and let all these coaches on here make all the play calls..just have someone on the sideline relay the plays in..it would save lamar a lot of money  ;D
6.
Does anyone know the status of the drill team member that had the seizure and was carried off by an ambulance? Haven't heard anything so assuming she was OK, but would like to know for sure.
shes ok...i am friends with her mother and she posted on facebook that she is doing well.

10. well i guess texas or alabama wont be coming to beaumont... :D
11. i thought all we had to do was bring in the big names to draw crowds...now we actually have to win too?  :'(
12. unlv wont be satified until we get our invite to the big 12  ;D
13. ned, png, mem all stars vs. bisd all stars...sounds like a great game that may come down to who has the better kicking game.  it would be close, id say mid-county, memorial trio would win on a last second field goal 31-28.  :o
14.
I totally agree...my attitude is best wishes to Kat fans and sincerely hope they succeed in whatever direction their leadership takes them, but I only care about Lamar..hopefully very soon we will be out the SLC and their interest in us will die also..and if not...from afar and only on their boards. One note about McNeese and their fans..they were so classy at our first football game. They geninuely were happy for us to be back and kept wishing us good luck etc. I am very glad that we will continue that rivalry even when we leave.
i agree...the mcneese fans were very nice at our first football game...and even though we lost it was such a great small college football atmosphere and personally to me that is what made it unique...it didnt matter who their cowboys were playing they just went out and supported their team.  i wish some of that would rub off on our fans lol...to me there is no shame in being a small college football team..as long as we win consistently jmo  8) sorry back on topic, coach roc  ;D
15. cant wait for this years all star game...had a great time last year.. 8)
16.
new mex st, idaho, utah st, san diego st...........? big mistake these schools, along with LU, barely meet attendance requirements for FBS..idaho doesnt........... idaho 12.5k,ut st 15.9k,nm st 16k its the who gives a rat's rump conference
aww come on dude..dont u know if we go FBS we will get texas, alabama, a&m and maybe auburn to come to beaumont  ;D seriously...if the administration thinks this is the best move for lamar and we get an invite...i will support 100%
17. playing in a bowl game would be fun...but can we get the recruits to come to beaumont to keep us bowl eligible on a regular basis?...even if it is the toilet bowl. personally i would like to stay in the SLC cause i enjoy watching us play sam houston, mcneese and sfa...cause they are pretty close to this area, makes for good rivalries..but if the college football landscape keeps changing of course we would have to move with it..i just hope we dont bite off more than we can chew and go 2-10, or 3-9 every year and then see attendance dwindle down to nothing.

20.
Let's do the math. Lamar (Prov-Hump) Ticket into the game $7 Parking $5 Or a mile walk (round trip) if your cheap. The "Butch" Ticket into the game $7 Parking "Free"   That's an extra boudin or nachos and a drink for the Kids. Plus the closet seats to the field in the area on the first level. And the chance to holla words of encourgement to my son. (Priceless) See ya Friday at the "Butch" How bout them Jags !!!!! Oh almost forgot to mention the best tailgating facility in the area And just think what the "Butch" will have to offer after the "Waldrof Astoria at the "Butch" is opened. Probally will be $10 for parking then. So enjoy it now.
we didnt have to pay for parking at our friday playoff game at lamar.
21. we played brookshire royal last year...we know all about their running back...hes the real deal...but im sure the chain gang defense will be up to the task.  8)
