1. i think wos and lcm should play, but on the bright side we still have some good competitive non-district games on the schedule...if its final?  i cant wait to watch the stangs play giddings and friendswood...those games will probably be played at neutral sites and have a playoff atmosphere...which is something that may benefit our team later on in the season.
2. i could see a wos vidor match-up...so far from what i heard wos is looking to play nederland, kirbyville, jasper and barbers hill...but will be needing a 5th non-district game.
3. best teams ive ever seen: 1987 wos mustangs 1990 aldine mustangs-finished #1 in the nation for 1990
4.
Man whats gotten into the mustang fans? WOW we lose 2 games early in the season and all of a sudden were not even good enough to beat a team from a terrible district that we wal all over year after year! Yeah they might be a little bit better this year but i heard the same bs last year about their awesome running game and what happened? we hit them in the mouth and they rolled over and played dead! I was on the semi finals mustang team and im telling ya'll that this kinda team we have this year is the most dangerous! We dont have that go to guy for someone to stop! We have that go to team! Ya'll can say what ya'll want to but i know what we have this year and we are clicking on all cylinders and are ready for a LONG run!!!! Watch and see!!!
good post, spoken like a true mustang!!!  prepare to win!!!  Go Mustangs!!!
5.

So are trying to say that Dan has not done anything this year? I recall that the Mustangs beat Neuman's bulldogs, Huckaby"s bobcats and Crouch's bears. Just some of the coaches that have been nominated as "Coach of the Year"
This is just another WOS area post that has to nominate their own.  I did see where COOP crossed the boundaries.   8) But as nicely as I can put this, if you guys at WOS could learn how to be proud of your accomplishments and at the same time keep them in perspective, you might get some outside the city limits respect. Respect is earned, not solicited.
just admit it no matter what we do you will never respect us.  so we dont need ur respect 8) oh and ill help u with ur reply, "typical arrogant post by another wos poster"  there i did it for you
6.

My picks for coach of the year for each SETX district: 21-5A     jury still out 19-4A   Kevin Flanigan, Crosby 20-4A  Brandon Faircloth, PNG 21-3A  Bobby McGallion, Silsbee 22-3A  Bob Jones, Shepherd 22-2A  Curtis Barbay, Newton 23-2A  Tony Valastro, East Chambers 23-1A  Alex Davis, Colmesneil
I would have to go with Alverez for 22-2A. No returning starters on off and 4 on def and still compete at a high level losing only to Jasper and WOS in OT on a contraversal call at the end.
how was it controversal?  He didnt get in, get over it!  :D  consider this thread jacked  ;D
7. 20-4A Brandon Faircloth, PNG 21-3A Chris Stump, BC.  he turned around a hurting program and will likely finish 7-3, and take the third place spot for that district
8. i can agree with that. the sliding was a bit excessive. they should have been trying to stay dry, cause they were going to get wet soon enough.
9. to reply to the pregame drama, the mustangs have been running to the end of the endzone to pray before each half. the silsbee drill team was still on our side where the mustangs always pray in the endzone. if we would have have ran between the silsbee drill team we would have been called classless. so we go to the endzone where no one was at and we still have no class. both teams had a tough time getting things going on offense, silsbee made the plays and wos didnt. thats the bottom line. silsbee deserved to win. on a lighter note silsbee beat us in 98.... in the rain. silsbee beat us in 09....in the rain. i think from now on silsbee game plan against wos should be......pray for rain. ;D good game tigers.
10. what credit do you want dude? you have a good team. we think we have a good team too. everyone cracks me up about wos not giving enough credit. why does it matter what we think?
11. I can assure you if LCM had to forfeit a volleyball game all heck would break lose ! trust me no one would care.
12. Proud? Lots to be proud of in WOS, maybe this isn't one of em. who said anything about being proud? im just stating fact look at the other threads 13-14 pages at most. wos volleyball thread gets up over 20 pages. as i said before wos is interesting.
13. believe what u want.....wos is interesting. the rest of the area is not interesting. wos...long threads, lots of hate and lots of love. everyone else.....short threads, not very interesting. truth hurts sometimes. 8)
14. will not be wos where did that come from? this thread is about carthage and someone takes a shot at wos. i thinks it funny because no other team in this area attracts so much attention. admit it, u guys would be bored if there was no wos 8)
15. JASPER IS A MUCH BETTER TEAM THAN WE ARE!!! WE PLAYED OUR BEST GAME AND STILL LOST TO THE BEST TEAM WE'VE EVER FACED IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF WEST ORANGE-STARK HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!!! THERE ITS SAID I HOPE EVERYONE IS HAPPY NOW!!!
16. say what u want, yall lost dude. yall had the chance to beat us and couldn't get it done. dont blame the refs, and dont blame us.
17. i agree with the comment, wos has got to learn to put teams away. but in saying that i give credit to the bears also, they played hard and gave a good effort. that #2 for lcm stood out imo. i think wos will be fine, its only the second game of the season and these non-district games are helping them prepare for district.
18. not the game, not the game we're talking about practice
19. i think the weather is playing a big part in the construction process. just about every afternoon its rainin. i just came from lamar and there were men working out there but it was raining and lightning. i tell u that new complex is going to take up half of the football parking lot, lol.
20. didnt go to the scrimmage had to work, but talked to some folks and they said vidor is pretty tough. i hope they can put it all together and have a good season. i think the stangs will be fine.
21. i wonder how to get tickets for away games? would they have a section just for LU fans? i might make the trip to nac, and lake charles for the games.
22. i agree thats a pretty good price for college football 8)
