    Just wanted to give a shout out to AD/HC Randy Smith of Silsbee. Coach Smith has now been at Silsbee for 9 seasons. His overall record is 78-32. District record 38-9 and playoff record is 18-9. He has won 3 district championships, 7 Bi-District championships, 6 Area championships, 3 regional finals (2 championships) 2 state semifinals. His teams have made it to the 3rd round or better in 6 of his 9 seasons. They have averaged 3rd round over those 9 seasons. Here is a breakdown of each of those seasons:

    He has won 72% of his games overall, 81% of district games and 69% of playoff games. All this as a first time HC.

    Coach Smith has also been an excellent AD. Silsbee has a very successful athletic program.

    Congrats to Coach Smith on what I consider one of his best coaching years this season.

    He is one great coach. The numbers speak for themselves. I cant wait until he gets his title, Its coming . I really believe its not a matter of if but a matter of when. Once again an amazing coach.

    I appreciate all the hard work the 10th grade kids or doing with Indian Press. I could care less what fake fans are saying. They are set up outside. I also agree with Aggiesarewe I have Texanlive and its great. So keep bashing kids. If that is what makes you feel better. Your predictions for a long time have been proven way way wrong. We know we cant win state every year so most REAL Indian fans enjoy week to week.

    It appeared to me that the backup QB and RB have a chance to do well if they are not seniors. The OL could be good if they were not seniors. I thought the defensive line was ok

    I do like the offensive scheme similar to Katy’s. I certainly think he knows what he is doing on offense and the offensive staff did a good job. The defensive staff did not do a good job imo.  I know a lot of it has to do with a lack of talent and being slow, but also very soft. I watched every game and besides having an ok DL and #6, they were extremely weak

    Obviously the staff will evaluate the season and know what should be addressed and hopefully have a good offseason. One major thing that has to get better is the mouthing and late hit personal foul penalties

    I certainly like the hire and am looking forward to the Bulldogs getting back to being a very competitive team. They will be in this tough district at least 1 more year
     

    Nederlands arrow us headed up. Huge turnaround this season. Nederland is going to be very good soon.
