Nope, they heard the noise, the right decision was finally made at QB, politics left out and it’s working like a charm.
2-0! HD!It was a good move. Bobcats looking good every since.

Yes sir just chalking it up to Hardin being a 3A D-1 and at home in Hornet Stadium. I do agree with John that H-D is looking good and surprising folks, really inexperienced Bobcat team, but young. H-D flys around the ball, it’s exciting to watch. Bobcats should keep getting better. Hardin has a few players that stand out on film. It will be a good game. Go Cats!

2A D-2 HD upsets 3A Hardin at Hornet Stadium! Down goes a 3rd 3A team! HD is looking good, very young team that only will get better. HD was not expected to win hardly any games this year, especially after losing it’s whole backfield/top 2 players! They are fun to watch!
HD 26
Hardin 12
Yep Johnny you are right. Them Bobcats are looking tough! The community is excited! Coaches and players are coming together with this young team. Keep taking the bigger teams down! HD Nation!

Bottom line, HD can’t win for losing, they were getting picked to lose by the overwhelming majority of pick’em folks, then when they actually win the games, the same people that picked them to lose, say HD’s win was nothing and say look who they beat. It’s plan hating, is what it is. I agree with Ruth.

I've seen nothing but congratulations extended to the HD players for their wins. It's not until posters begin implying how incredible the wins were... BIGGER SCHOOL, UPSET, KNOCKED OFF, MORE PLAYERS, etc..
Nobody cares, man. Nobody considers beating a terrible team as an upset.
You better go pull up the Warren vs HD score thread lol.

I'm not an idiot.. and enrollment matters some to a point. How many kids does each school have playing football? That matters more than enrollment sometimes.
By the way.. if enrollment is the thing motivating your excitement... why doesn't Allen High School win every single game in every single sport? They have almost double the next highest 6A schools.
Bull crap!

You are on here, apparently it does lol. 😀🤷🏻♂️

I love the fight in this young and outnumbered HD Bobcat team, keep it up boys! It is fun to see the haters pick against us weekly, then go crickets lol. Great job Coach Bird!

You are an idiot, if a small school beats a bigger school, it’s a good win. Especially with the huge enrollment differences.

Doubtful.
"Own medicine?" Actually.. I agree with you. Congrats to the kids for winning for one should take care in celebrating the beating of a bad team. I agree.. Trinity is awful.
The difference is that Hardin fans aren't on here talking about what a glorious win it was because (bigger school, playoffs last year, blah blah). That's the difference and a big one. Also, it's hilarious that you're playing off your hypocrisy as a ploy to "bait" someone. Hilarious.
Maybe they should be on here congratulating their team and praising them, it’s important to build that culture and tradition. To win is fun and important, but to win vs bigger competition with lots more players/students to choose from, a team you shouldn’t be able to compete with, that is big. HD has now beaten two schools with enrollments in the mid 350’s or more, with HD currently at 104 students per the Administration. Big wins!
FYI: Hardin has 338 students in 9-12.

I can't let this one go:
When people say, "congrats, but that team was terrible" to HD.. it is met with, "Why can't you just say congrats and nothing else?"
It would appear that being hypocritical goes ignored for HD fans.
You let it go when they do it to HD all the time…🤷🏻♂️

Hull Daisetta and Warren game has been moved to Anahuac. Starting at 7:30.

According to the UIL website under the Alignment, Hull-Daisetta turned in 124, not 104, for this past realignment.
104 is the current number per Coach, yes it was 124. Supposedly the smallest in 2A.

55 y’all are in a precarious spot with those low numbers…hopefully no injuries for you guys and if/went they do come hopefully some of those better JV players have developed enough to jump up and contribute safely. Best of luck to y’all…
Yes sir, thank you.

I'm not sure I follow the sentiment. Has not Warren, Hardin, Kountze and these other schools been larger than HD has for 50 years? Has not HD always beat those SAME teams over and over again until they were blue in the face? What's different now? Those other programs are 20 kids larger than they were 50 years ago? I guess I just don't understand.
No, HD and Hardin were in the same district for over 50 years.
-
I don’t think y’all understand not only the sheer numbers hardship H-D has encountered, the town has zero housing opportunities these days and parents are moving their kids closer to work, in Liberty, Dayton and Baytown, but also the fact HD doesn’t have their 3 year starter at QB senior Sellers or senior RB Victorian, he moved.
To win in week 1, it was huge, heck if we would have beaten Sabine Pass in week 1 it would have been big for this HD team, much more to do it against a playoff 3A team from last year.
HD literally is a few injuries away from not having a varsity team they can field safely. Only 8 or 9 players are upperclassman, the 24 total kids are mostly freshman and sophomore. To have 104 total kids in school, Coach Bird has done an awesome job with his percentage of boys coming out for football, most schools would have a lower percentage rate by a lot.
I would not be surprised if H-D upsets Warren Friday night, Bird had these young boys doing all the little things. Definitely will be a hard fought game.

Having 13 on the entire roster sounds 6man-ish. I figured it was more than that.
H-D has 13 players on Varsity bud. Ole Johnny is correct, Coach moved whole JV up for game.

If you haven’t seen QB Brady Barrier play, he is a special player as just a Freshman for Anahuac! Already one of the top passing QB’s in SETX. Can’t wait until he is an upper class-man, kid has a cannon arm!
-
Congrats HD!! Young team with grit. Bobcats proved lots of us wrong tonight. That offensive line and defensive line played tough. The TB Tyler thibodeaux is quick! The big defensive end Drake is a monster! RB Logan Smith and the QB Sterling kid are ball players! Isaac Garcia is a ball player! The Flowers kid and Ford kid played well. The coaches called a great game! HD Nation!
-
This really the score? Or the opposite? BV was hyped up by folks on this site.

HD wins.

Deweyville loses again?! To League City Christian?!

Yes!!!!!!!! Bird lost this game! John is spot on 💯! No doubt, WH fans/buddies giving me heck about our play calling lol. 3 WH fans just said thank God y’all’s Coach didn’t give it to #23 after 1st quarter. HD should have been up three scores at half, Birdwell’s play calling had HD stopped on goal line and inside 20 multi times. Kids played their tail off!
