8th grade is doing well.. 7th grade..not so much

Dville/EC game was a good one. I thought both teams played hard and with class.  The only disappointing thing was Dville's coach's calling a timeout at the end of the game with 25 seconds left, up by 2 TD's so they could try and score again.  They didn't score but taking a knee and running the clock would have given them the same outcome..  It was unnecessary and not real cool.

sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.  EC will be fine.  I say they win the District Title as long as they don't shoot themselves in the foot with the silly stuff like tonight.

Just messing with you.  They were definitely bigger than EC.  Just over powered them.

Different story for the 8th graders though.  EC dominated most of the game.

Honestly, I can't say that I ever heard of Concordia Lutheran.  What was the score to this game?

first half for EC was good.. they were able to move the ball pretty well.  2nd half was another story.. I would have to say EC was out coached.  I don't know what EC was thinking taking penalty after penalty when they had to punt.  It cost them 5 yards a pop when they were struggling to contain Newton. I could possibly understand it if it was late in the game but in the 3rd quarter.. it was embarrassing.  When the coaches pulled that stunt the players basically said OK.. the plan is to run the clock out and we aren't going to try and score.. They were only down 18- 7 at that point.  Not taking anything away from Newton.  They were well coached and made adjustments as necessary.  I'm just not pleased with the EC drive to win in the second half.. Oh well... this is JMO....

yep.. only saw parts of the game but it looked like they were going back and forth on the scoreboard. Pretty evenly matched..

Lots of fumbles in this one.  Both teams need to work on some center to quarterback exchanges..  YMCA must have had about 30 players... Lot's of speed.  EC has plenty of speed just need to work on technigue.

That was my point as well.  Stop downing the kid.  You have no way of knowing what he will do down the road..  My point on the draft pick issue is I heard from lots of folks just like playa09 when I was a kid and they were wrong and so is he... I am not saying he will play anywhere only that he is a good athlete and shouldn't be addressed in this manner... Go back to the pipeline and be the best you can be playa09
