All I really know about Yates is Rubin Jones is still there and likely their best player.
Him and Braylon played together on the same team this summer on, I think, the Houston Defenders.

Tiger starters sat a lot in the second quarter.
I'm sorry but they need to play nearly an entire game. Not trying to embarrass anyone.

Sounds like they should be playing in 6A if they're pulling from thousands and thousands of kids.

No UIL team should have to compete with academies for state titles anyways. It's bs. I can almost promise you all those kids ain't from the same neighborhood.

Silsbee needn't worry about LaMarque.

I remember when Silsbee went to the Popeyes Classic back in 1994/95 when we had Damion Bush, Al Henry, Donyell Allen, Wilie Jones etc.. We lost to a Moss Point,MS team that was all guards around 6'1. They could shoot lights out. In that Tourney was a team from NYC that played like they were in Rucker Park!!! I also saw Yates back in 2008/09 destroy those types of teams. I think Silsbee will be good to win a game or 2. Experience is key here. They will run thru district and I dont think they will see close game till the Regionals. Yates will be there with Silsbee, and maybe La Marque. 

So Family Faith is allowed to play in the UIL?

One game in December wont matter in January-March. District and Playoffs all that matter. This team will be fine I'm sure. Who do we play next?
