  1. Good luck with that! Believe me when I say that ALL of the WO-S players remember last year's game and will not take this year's matchup lightly... and ALL of the coaches and long-time fans still remember 1998. We will be ready for you. Silsbee generally plays us close but WO-S has come out ahead in all but two games over the past 32 years. We plan on continuing the trend!! We haven't lost a district game yet since dropping to 3A in 2004 and hopefully won't in 2009. ;D
  2. Quite a few of the Gilmer folk I've chatted with think there's a definite possibility that Chapel Hill will not make it
  3. Gilmer and Carthage both have outside chances of going DI though. If Tyler Chapel Hill is shut out of the playoffs Gilmer is DI and if Jasper is shut out of the playoffs Carthage goes DI. If they both go DI they would play each other in the 1st round of the playoffs
  4. 3A and 4A are added in.... still waiting on 2A and 1A
  5. I only have 3A-5A at the moment... working on the lower classifications 5A 1- Katy 2- Allen 3- Cedar Hill 4- SA Madison 5- GP North Shore 6- Odessa Permian 7- Lufkin 8- Southlake Carroll 9- Euless Trinity 10- Garland 11- FB Hightower 12- Dallas Skyline 13- Smithson valley 14- Odessa High 15- RR Stony Point 16- SA Clark 17- Pearland 18- Arlington High 19- Austin Westlake 20- Woodlands 21- Klein Oak 22- SA Wagner 23- DeSoto 24- SA Roosevelt 25- Copperas Cove 4A 1- Longview 2- Denton Guyer 3-Cibolo Steele 4- Denison 5- Lake Travis 6- Everman 7- Highland Park 8- Waco Midway 9- Aledo 10- Dallas Carter 11- Frenship 12- Texarkana Texas High 13- Ennis 14- Denton Ryan 15- Calallen 16- Brenham 17- Sulphur Springs 18- Angleton 19- Abilene Cooper 20- Dayton 21- Killeen 22- Gregory Portland 23- Kerrville Tivy 24- FW Dunbar 25- Friendswood 3A 1- Gilmer 2- Carthage 3- WO Stark 4- Celina 5- Wimberly 6- Giddings 7- Bellville 8- Abilene Wylie 9- Cuero 10- China Spring 11- Prosper 12- Liberty-Eylau 13- Liberty Hill 14- Paris 15- Rockdale 16- Van 17- Cleveland 18- Bandera 19- Mexia 20- Graham 21- Bridgeport 22- Monahans 23- Navasota 24- Texarkana Pleasant Grove 25- Waco La Vega
  6. In response to the initial title of the thread... The best thing he did was to NOT try to change the Constitution and run for a 3rd term. Good Riddance!!
  7. I did one of these last year for 3A, 4A and 5A which can be found at the following link: Click here ---> 2007 Season Summaries I plan on doing the lower classifications but it takes a lot of time to put these together and I've only gotten through the 5A summary so far.... There's a lot of information included in a very small space here, which means that there's lots of opportunity for me to have made mistakes. Please let me know of any obvious errors and I will correct them. Essentially, this is a single table showing the district standings in all 32 5A districts for the 2008 season. The 4 playoff qualifiers are listed first in each district. Division I Qualifiers are in ALL CAPITALS Division II Qualifiers are in lower case Teams losing in the Bi-District and Area rounds are listed in GREEN Teams losing in the Region Semis and Quarterfinal rounds are listed in PURPLE Teams losing in the State Semifinals or State Finals are listed in RED State Champions are listed in BLUE

  9. If it keeps going like it's going Gilmer and West Orange-Stark are my votes for definite #2 and #3 best in the State in 3A for 2008
  10. Where is the defense? Looks like Celina has their hands full ;D Gilmer held Carthage to 7 points in the 2nd half two weeks ago... WO-S held Gilmer to 7 points in the 2nd half three weeks ago...
  11. I would imagine this could end up being the final score... Celina 40 Liberty Hill 6 1:52 4th
  12. And Liberty Hill breaks one and finally gets on the board Celina 27 Liberty Hill 6 5:32 3rd LH goes for 2 and doesn't make it
  13. Celina scored again... went for 2 and missed it Celina 27 Liberty 0 7:00 3rd

  15. Liberty Hill has scored AT LEAST 22 points in 43 consecutive games... with Celina being the ONLY team to hold them to 22 points (in the 2006 Finals)
  16. I don't believe Liberty Hill has been behind like this in the previous 38 consecutive games they've played... They are going for consecutive win #39 today
  17. Celina 8 Liberty Hill 0 1st Q Waco La Vega 10 Prosper 3 Half
  18. They said on the broadcast the Alamodome. Thats where its been for a while That's a LONG way from Dayton and even further from Sulphur Springs... kind of an odd place to pick
  19. It's a final by the way... Katy 41 Smithson Valley 19 FINAL Katy will play the winner of Wylie vs Copperas Cove next week
