  1. Sorry but I just had to reply so I could simultaneously negate both very sweeping generalizations with one post. Barbers Hill is definitely one of the few elite local programs that holds up when comparing quality and success both recently and historically. If you look at records since 2000 you would see that BH has a higher winning percentage than WO-S and has won more games than WO-S. In fact' date=' they have the highest winning percentage of any team in SE Texas this decade and have won more games since 2000 than any other team in SE Texas except for Newton. Click here for 2000-2005 Rankings Conversely, if you look at historic records going back 100+ years you would see that Barbers Hill ranks in the top 3 among SE Texas teams in every one of the following categories (All-Time Wins, All-Time Winning Percentage, All-Time Playoff Wins, All-Time Playoff winning percentage, All-Time Playoff Appearances, State Championships, All-Time number of undefeated regular seasons and District Championships) WOS87 Proud Alumnus of WO-S Class of '87

Looks like we have one of the strongest districts in the state! 3A Districts Ranked 1st - by total number of '05 Playoff teams, 2nd - by '05 combined playoff wins 1. 21-3A - 6 teams (WOS, Jasper, Silsbee, BC, Kirbyville, Hardin-Jefferson) 8 - 6 playoff record 2. 8-3A - 5 teams (Argyle, Bridgeport, Decatur, Gainesville, Sanger) 11 - 5 playoff record 3. 9-3A - 5 teams (Bonham, Celina, Pilot Point, Prosper, Van Alstyne) 9 - 4 playoff record 4. 18-3A - 4 teams (Hutto, Liberty Hill, Cameron Yoe, Taylor) 11 - 4 playoff record 5. 7-3A - 4 teams (Sweetwater, Abilene Wylie, Breckenridge, Comanche) 7 - 4 playoff record 6. 24-3A - 4 teams (Needville, Brookshire, West Columbia, Sweeny) 3 - 4 playoff record 7. 10-3A - 4 teams (Emory Rains, Wills Point, Royse City, Commerce) 2 - 4 playoff record 8. 30-3A - 4 teams (Ingleside, Sinton, Orange Grove, West Oso) 2 - 4 playoff record All other districts have three '05 playoff teams or less with 22-3A, 26-3A and 31-3A being the weakest, all three districts having only one '05 playoff team, and with all three teams losing in the 1st round. 21-3A and 8-3A are the only districts which have 4 teams that advanced to at least the 2nd round of the 2005 playoffs
