12U Orange Crush-Metts, GT Shockers, Beaumont Blast
18U Intensity, OC-Birdwell, Young Guns, Southern Express, OC Harrell
That is what I have....not sure the Young guns on the 18U are 18U, but they playing on that field. -

If the umpire feels the batter did not make an attempt to get out of the way you don't get the base. They usally say while in a calm discussion with them..... "In my opinion" ::)!
Cheater is correct. If the ball is a slow pitched ball and she gets hit, then "in my judgement" she could have attempted to move. Under normal
fastpitch pitches, if ball bounces, then I am giving them the base....They don't know which way the ball is going when it hits the ground. -

Yea and speaking of the heaters, I went today and bought me one; I will not be without one the next time we are out in 24 degree weather. The girls who showed up and played are impressively tough. ;)

Once I got started into doing softball, I always said that the gals were tougher than the guys. -
Congratulations Katie I know you will be a success both on the field in the studies.
Best of luck to you. -

RMc went off without any delays at Collins Park. Katye Harris played with Humble Cobras Gold and had a blast. The Cobra Gang are a classy bunch of girls and their parents are great. The treated KH as one of their own and I would like to thank them for everything. Hanna Bell and the other pitcher Danielle ??? (not sure) little blond chick were outstanding on the mound and the hitting was great all weekend. Steve Freshours was really good with the college coaches and has helped KH as much as his own kids. Thanks again for a fantastic weekend .

Now if Katie's Dad was as good an umpire as she is hitter, we would be into something.
Just kidding. Great job this weekend and I really appreciate the help you gave.
As usual after all the rain during the week, the Crush fields were in great shape.
Even Randy did a good job. -

Pappa is this an ASA time change or an A-ZFA time change--- I mean do we set our clocks back 1 hour. 1:15 or 1:30.
And dont tell me its Drop Dead ---- ;D

In your case, just leave it alone and it will catch up next year. -
Don't forget that the time changes tonight. You get the hour extra sleep.

Looks like there will be 130 + college scouts at the tournament. They say the rainy weather should be out of the area for this weekend. Not sure about the show case camp on Friday though. Mc I have a package to deliver to you on Friday, By way of Tigers 12. ;D

But how man rain can they hold ;D -

Congrats, Buster, at least we will have someone to cook at our tournanments now :o.. Welcome to the "family" coach Dan
Good catch there old coach. Whitecaps will have some good cooking at their tournaments. -
Knewabout it several days ago, but did not want to mention it until the "family" did.
Congratulations Julianne, "Buster". Very happy for you. I know Jeff is busiting at the seams. -
Jeter for NY has about as perfect swing as I have seen. Adjusts well, low strikeouts during the season and always good average, even some power. A-rod not bad either.

i live in the country and my dad taught how to hit with a tomato stake and a bucket of pea gravel
brings new meaning to knock the "P" out of it.
ROFLMAO

;D You don't want much. ;D

Ford Park or College St?
Last time we had an ASA Gold Regional in Beaumont, it was at College Street. However, in my opinion it was not not what everyone thought it might be. Lots teams were already qualified, those that did qualifiy once the tournament reached a certain leave, left and did not play final games. There was also another tournament going on as BHBLUE suggested, during this event, so a lot of the better teams did not show in Beaumont.
However, as also stated by a previous poster, it will help the local economy.

Belated Happy Birthday John.

Talking to a couple of coaches yesterday, I see you found a couple of scrimmage games.
Good, and have fun.

Huffman vs. Lufkin Hudson
in High School Softball- 2014
Posted
I had the opportunity to umpire both schools this year. It will be a good series. Pitching was good for both teams in the games I had.
I had Hudson vs Jasper, and Huffman vs Stafford. Both games were run runs for Hudson and Huffman.
