3. Only team that has respect from 19-4a is Dayton, they always produce a quality team and come playoff time they pull it together. Until the other teams start producing in playoffs, you cant talk about them.
4. Lots of respect earned for vidor the past couple years. but being from png i gotta pull for them  31-27
5. rip it, hands down. ball comes off that bat like an old bat.
6.
Just got back from the game! WoW is all I can say. Hopefully that knucklehead group of umps don't call the rest of the series. There were several bad calls in the field and behind home plate. Ump behind the plate wouldn't give Stone corners for nothing, the play at second was a joke with nobody making the call, and there was a runner trying to get back to first that was hosed by Provost that was called safe. Can someone also let the NDN staff know not to throw a curveball on a 1-2 count when the Brenham batters are behind the fastball. Both times for a HR. If a hitter is swinging after the ball is in the catchers glove, please throw the gas and sit him down, not the duece. First time, I've seen a ump tell a team to get back in the dugout when the team that scored a run go out and congradulate the runner. My rant is over and I'm happy the NDNS pulled one out. Also, I've never seen so many foul balls by one team (Brenham) in a game.
actually, the homerun in the 5th was on a high outside fastball. because in my hand i was hoping Stone would have thrown a backfoot curve ball. he was set up perfect for it. and also, the homerun in the 3rd  he tripled up on curveballs and thats what happened. he had him set up perfect for the high and inside heat. oh well...got the job done on the diamond and now looking for the sweep.  Lets go boys
7. heck yeah, this is gunna be fun. me and my buddy driving in from school since we got a break before our regionals this weekend. to watch this series. im from PNG and hes from Brenham. gunna be a fun drive smack talking. GO PNG
8. /2/2011 - No. 18 Roadrunners take two from Northeast Texas Greening, Robson Solid in Mound Starts The 18th-ranked Angelina College Roadrunners made it nine wins in their past 10 games with an impressive sweep of Northeast Texas College Saturday afternoon at Roadrunner Complex in Lufkin. The ‘Runners used a four-run sixth inning to take the opener by a score of 5-4, then pounded out 13 hits to take the nightcap 11-1 in eight innings. In the early game, Todd Wallace drove in two runs with a single off the glove of Eagle pitcher Ethan Cole in the bottom of the sixth, K.J. Semien drove in another run with an infield groundout – with Grant Clyde gambling and scoring from third on the play – and Austin Land singled home another run as the Roadrunners rallied from a 3-1 deficit to make a winner of starter Chase Greening, who got big help from his defense, specifically shortstop Zach Taylor and second-baseman Seth Spivey. Each of those middle infielders made run-saving plays to keep the game close, allowing the Roadrunner offense to mount a comeback. Greening went six innings, giving up a two-RBI double to the Eagles’ John Maldonado in the third and an RBI single to Justin Creel in the fifth. Greening left after the top of the sixth with AC trailing, but the Roadrunner rally in the bottom of the inning lifted the Lufkin native to his eighth win against no losses. NTCC’s Will Wagner hit a solo homer in the seventh to cut the AC lead to 5-4, but Jerin Spikes and Nick Wright closed out the game, with Wright earning the save. Robson, a surprise starter in the nightcap, completely shut down the Eagles over his 6 2/3 innings. The sophomore from League City has thrown most of his innings from the bullpen, but showed no effects of the limited work in holding the Eagles to one run on seven hits. Robson struck out three and walked four, allowing nothing but singles to a hard-hitting NTCC lineup. AC’s offensive outburst included a solo homer from Jay Young, who drove in two runs in the game; Keith Cormier, whose double, single and groundout accounted for three RBI; Seth Spivey, who drove in two runs while scoring twice; and Zach Taylor, whose two-run single in the eighth completed the mercy killing. Austin Land and Tommy Henk also drove in runs for the red-hot Roadrunners. In addition, the Lady Roadrunner softball team split a doubleheader with Galveston, dropping the first game by a 3-0 score before taking the second game 5-3. The Lady ‘Runners travel to San Jacinto for a doubleheader scheduled for a 2 p.m. start. The Roadrunner baseball team (26-12, 9-3) will host Texarkana in a Wednesday doubleheader featuring the first- and second-place teams in Region XIV’s East Zone. Game time is 1 p.m. Live audio/video streaming will be available by logging on to www.angelina.edu and clicking on the Athletics link.

11. 3/23/2011 - Roadrunners Pick Up Road Sweep of Navarro CORSICANA – It took a pair of knuckle-biting, nail-chewing finishes, but the Angelina College Roadrunners picked up a rare road sweep of Navarro’s Bulldogs Wednesday afternoon in Corsicana. AC’s K.J. Semien came up big in both games, throwing out the Bulldogs’ potential tying run late in the ‘Runners 1-0 win in the opener and driving in the tying run with a triple in the eighth inning of AC’s 10-9 win in the nightcap. “I’ve said all season, this team has a chance to be something special,” AC head coach Jeff Livin said afterward. “We don’t get down when things aren’t going our way, and we have guys who just keep finding ways to contribute in both big and little ways.” The two wins made it six straight one-run game for the Roadrunners, who moved to 4-2 in conference play. AC starting pitcher Ryan Bonnot pitched a beauty in the first game, tossing 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball against a highly ranked Navarro lineup. Bonnot struck out six and walked just two, retiring the Bulldogs in order in three of his innings. Austin Robson came on in the sixth inning with Bulldogs in scoring position, getting the big play from Semien to preserve AC’s 1-0 lead. Bulldog pinch runner Colby Cottongame attempted to score from second when a ball off the bat of Casey Grayson made it through the Roadrunner infield. Semien, in left field, fired a perfect strike to ‘Runner catcher Tommy Henk at home, hanging Cottongame out to dry on the play. Ian Gardek then shut down the Bulldogs in the seventh to earn the save. The nightcap saw lots more cleats denting the plate for both teams. AC got a sacrifice fly from Grant Clyde and a two-run single from Todd Wallace to put up a three-run first; and Jay Young and Keith Cormier sparked a third-inning surge with Young’s double and Cormier’s single. Ryan Gunhouse drove in a run with a double and Clyde added another sacrifice fly to lift AC’s run total to six runs in the first three innings. Starting pitcher Luis DeJesus labored through a four-run second inning, with the Bulldogs getting a two-run homer from Brode Boyd to capitalize on three singles. But DeJesus settled in to hold Navarro to one more run through the sixth, when reliever Taylor Holt gave up a triple to Boyd – who came around to score on an infield error – and a solo homer to Christian Stringer. Navarro held a 7-6 lead heading into the AC half of the eighth. But as Livin pointed out, the Roadrunners were in no frame of mind to lose. Clyde led off with a walk, and one out later Semien blasted a three bagger off the base of the left-field wall to tie the score. Pinch hitter Zach Taylor scored Semien with a go-ahead single, Zach Marberry double and Seth Spivey drove in two more to put the ‘Runners on top 10-7. Navarro managed two more runs in the ninth, but AC reliever Jerin Spikes induced a couple of game-ending fly outs to cap the 10-9 AC win and the sweep. The Roadrunners (21-11, 4-2) will host Bossier Parish in a Saturday doubleheader scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. Live audio/video streaming will be available by logging onto www.angelina.edu and clicking on the Athletics link.
12. sounds different, i remember our defense is usually which made us win games! we never had errors usually. but oh well, its PNG  we always find a way to get ourselves into the playoffs and make a run.
13. Nobody threw this weekend that is from SETX. But pitching is still pounding the zone, and having few walks. alot of ground balls being hit. strong pitching staff with tons of depth. I'm interesting in watching everyone mesh as season goes on.
14. okay thank you. wish some games were played over here in East texas, cant make any of those in houston.  GOod luck to all!!
15. Can someone get a list and name of all the area school teams that are still in the playoffs and representing us well?
